“We certainly don’t do it… well… ever… right? You know, I have to admit… it’s kind of funny… but sometimes… I think our relationship develops backwards.”

A laugh caught in Vora’s throat and she half-nodded, half-shrugged in agreement.

“I mean, usually I ask women out on dates, all planned out and everything, and the times where they go well, things basically go from more formal and structured to less formal and intimate. I didn’t plan anything at all this time, and we kinda started at intimate and informal and now we’re getting structured and formal…” Then he hastily added “…but still intimate.” Lest she interpret that as some sort of negative commentary.

Having witnessed enough other relationships and experienced a couple of her own that started out in the way he described, she too had mused about the unusual start to their relationship.

“So I guess it is strange for me too, but in an entirely different way. Though… I think we might be able to fix that…”

Arm still linked through his, Vora gazed at him with a slight smile. “Oh? What did you have in mind?”

“Well… I… have… umm…” For some reason he seemed caught off guard by that question.

“I have the beginning of what might be a plan,” he said more assuredly a moment later. “But I need to flesh it out a bit more; it’s a little too soon to share the details. I mean, if we need to go backwards to go forwards, it’s very important that we go… exactly backwards… in just the right way.”

She laughed lightly. “Okay,” Vora said with a nod.

“In the mean time, I think we’ll just have to go out more.”

With a grin, Vora leaned in and planted a brief kiss on his cheek. It was discreet, but at the same time, another small leap of PDA given they were still technically in public, even if there weren’t many people around and likely no one from the Europa. “I like that idea.”
