Matty listened intently “So no security feeds on the quarters that would shed light on what happened?” She asked slightly surprised “If there is a security leak on the station, it could be that they know what our mission is and the issues that we are currently having aboard the Europa could be related to that.” She suggested with a sighCE
“They might also be unrelated circumstances,” Zeke said. “One thing’s for sure. We’re going to need to stock up on plenty of anti-venom. Yuck.”
CMO
Cassidy waved the hand she held in her fingers and sighed slightly. “I think we might already be farther into this than we suspected,” she said, sliding the PADD with her suddenly expanded case load across the table to Dvorak. “Several incidents of missing personal items or… pets. All seemingly random, but all have suddenly cropped up since we left base. This is course after we had the breach in the system. We’re investigating each thing and it could simply be coincidence, but I’m not ruling anything out just yet.”

OOC: Split the Thread, so altering and inserting my reply here to remain on track. Apologies guys.
-Janice B.“The security feed gives little to no information over what happened. I suspect it malfunctioned at the moment of the murder as shows no one entering or leaving. The Security stationed at the room also were interviewed and reported the same,” Avik pointed out to Matty, noting she went over it with keen eyes and asked questions about it.
She then added, “We were assured that no one is aware. According to records, we’re simply exploring uncharted territory out here. I didn’t detect any lies in his words so I have no logical reason to doubt his word.”
Noting the CMO’s mention of anti-venom, her attention turned to him.
“Could you elaborate on that statement? Is there a venomous creature on the loose in the ship?” Avik decided to addressed Drake’s statement while Dvorak looked over Abram’s PADD report.
–XO, Avik, Lt. Cmdr
“When dealing with an unknown, alien race that is descendent from spiders, and another, more hostile race from snakes? Experience has taught me to be prepared, Commander.” Zeke replied.
.
“It will be easy enough to get expanded stocks of anti-venom prior to arriving on site. A generic version, and, perhaps, some quantities of more specific types if we had more information on the biology of the aliens.”
.
CMOAvik simply looked at him then replied, “Unfortunately we only have stories from survivors and myths. Not much use, but having a wide selection prepared and ready isn’t a terrible idea.”
It was her way of giving approval to the notion as she glanced at her CO, waiting to see if he would step into the conversation. Seeing no indication, she continued to get more information.
“Has anyone else, aside from the Chief Engineer, experienced anything unusual?”
Mattie looked around the room “Anything that has not been reported to Engineering?” She asked knowing that sometimes things didn’t seem important and turned into huge issues later.
At this point, the XO had shared all the information she could unless the crew asked additional questions or revealed something that needed addressing.
–XO, Avik, Lt. Cmdr
“Wait,” Johann said… “Pets and personal property are missing?”
“Yes, ” Abrams confirmed. “I just had them reported before I came here.”
“If we assume that these people are actually capable of slipping past security systems, then we could assume that there are intruders already here on this ship.”
“Do a full sweep for intruders,” he ordered Abrams. “And let’s increase our readiness. Go to Yellow Alert.”
– Johann Dvorak, CO
Cassidy nodded and rose to her feet. “I already increased the patrols, but the added info will be useful.” Moving off to the corner of the room, she issued out the orders to her department and the security officer on the bridge. The alert status of the ship was amended a few moments later.
“Captain?” Zeke said, “Maybe it’s not worth mentioning. But when we were at Starbasr 51, I ate lunch at this neat little cafe. I think that it was called, The 51st street Wine and Grill.”
“Anyhow, I met this alien named Archnie. He was from a planet outside the Federation. And applying for asylum under protection.”
“He said that he eas being pursued by other aliens who could breech any security.”
CMO
Avik paused when she heard the CO speak. Her eyes turned toward him while he reviewed the CoS’ report over the missing animals and property, an occurrence that seemed nearly normal if not for the large amount of cases. A concern crossed her thoughts, but the XO dismissed it. This crew weren’t simple and untrained Cadets after all.
Her eyes shifted to Zeke when he mentioned the alien and decided to speak.
“Yes, Abrams already mentioned this on the bridge. I believe she included he seemed frightened and edgy. With both of you here, it might provide us with more information,” she stated.
–XO, Avik, Lt. Cmdr
Zeke looked at Abrams. “Security officers are naturally trained to be more observant then other crew,” he said. “What’s the most odd situation that’s been reported?”
CMO
Cassidy remained standing and leaned against the wall. “Well, the missing pet snake and rat are more explainable, if odd that they happened at the same time. But to me it’s the missing picture frame that one crew member and her roommate couldn’t figure out what happened to. We’re still also not certain about the computer system breach that uploaded recipes. These are all innocuous but each require an unusual set of events to occur. And now that these are all happening at once? Well, Archnie’s fear is understandable.” She wished she could have spoken to him again and gotten more details, and once more she worried for his safety.
Abrams, COS
Zeke snorted. “Why, these seem like the sort of practical jokes that we pulled back at the Academy! Do the new recipes just happen to include snake or rat?”
CMO
Cassidy shook her head. “No, they aren’t recipes added to the database, they were ones already there that were accessed. And if it were a practical joke, we’d have the ability to trace the person responsible. Only unauthorized users trying to avoid detection would go through that much trouble to poke our curiosity and leave us little to work with.” And that was the danger in her mind, truly. It wasn’t the random events but the coordinated effort possibly going into the whole of it that bothered her.
Abrams, COS
Mattie was quiet for a moment “If it is a snake like creature or an arachnid it might be possible to find them using thermal scanners looking for colder temperatures that would be consistent with these creatures.
