That surprised her! Zorell expected a bit more resistance to the idea, so it took her a moment to register that Sienna had actually just encouraged it. “Oh! Okay then, I guess… I will,” she said with a slightly sheepish smile. Her mind instantly went to what she might write about first and how to even go about it. It was overwhelming but a bit exciting. She supposed a lot of it was the knowledge that others wouldn’t get a say in what her story was. It was hers and she got to tell it.

Sienna smiled. “I can see the wheels are turning and I think its a good time to bow out.” She said with a laugh and began to put her flute away in its precious case. “This has been incredibly enjoyable Vora. I really appreciate your invitation and I hope to do more of this with you in the future.”

Zorell smiled deeply. “I didn’t mean to chase you away, but I have to admit I’m rather consumed by the idea now that it’s not the terrible one I thought it was. Another time for sure. I look forward to it.”
“Good. So do I.”
It was interesting to her that this Nox hadn’t been anyone other than she was to Vora during this evening. Her identity as an alternate version of the woman she had known hadn’t been a pressing thing in her mind. And she was glad for it. She understood that the Siennadye before her deserved to be recognized as her own, even if the reality was often rather complicated and confusing emotionally. But furthermore, she had enjoyed this time with her and was genuinely looking forward to more of it.

She smiled and took her case, leaving Vora behind in the holodeck to allow her wheels to turn without interruption. It had been a fun evening. There was a part of Sienna that had been nervous to go and have some social time with a woman who had known her alternative self well. Also, being that Vora was dating the alternate version of her husband, she felt… odd befriending her. She didn’t want Vora to ever know that though. It was hard enough carrying that burden on her own, forcing someone else to know that kind of pain was … unkind. Vora didn’t deserve her ire or her sadness.
She had found that within moments, she had become at ease with the woman. It had been surprising, and pleasant. Perhaps she could at least have a superficial friendship with her. The part of her that wished every day that she could return home and see her loving husband was the part that made her feel like she could never really have friends here either because it would hurt to leave them or because it hurt to be here where they did not know her as they did back home. Johann’s eyes saw her, but they were not her Johann’s no matter how identical they seemed. It was heartbreaking.
Finding herself in this mix of happiness and sadness, she walked through the halls of the ship, lost in her reverie.
