She had been pondering it a lot since recently and had started learning the techniques and chords for the piano. Her memory helped a great deal of course, but Vora’s love of music made it all come alive for her.Hesitating and erasing the message multiple times, she finally felt ready.

Hello my fellow shipmates,
I’m considering putting together a musical group with people who enjoying playing instruments and singing. As some of you know, I have sang and performed on the guitar for the crew before, but I’ve been learning the piano and exploring more styles from Earth and if you enjoy rock and jazz and some of the popular styles, I think we could find a fusion of styles that would be fun. Let me know if you are interested and we can meet to discuss it.

I play the Betazed Glass Flute and I have been learning the harp. I would be glad to be a part of this musical group. I don’t know anything about rock or jazz, but Í would be glad to do something. In other words, please get me out of my office.

Zorell recalled her playing the flute but wasn’t sure how either instrument would fit together with what she had in mind, but she figured they could get creative.
She replied back:
It might end up being a an exercise in creative blending, but please do join me. I’ve booked Holodeck 2 for next Wednesday at 1900 hours for three hours, so please do join me. Bring sheet music if you have it for any stuff you like, or we can generate it.

As you already know, I have absolutely no talent with instruments or singing. But if you need anything to help make this thing happen, let me know and I’ll see what I can do. Anything to prevent the crew’s further descent into rampant hedonism.

Avik pulled up her emails and spotted one from Vora. Her curiosity sparked, she pulled it up and open the contents. She skimmed the words careful as she took several moments to think on the offer. The XO held no musical talent she could add to the endeavor, aside from a keen ear to locate sour or off notes. Making a decision, she began to type her reply.
