Letting out a defiant cry in the face of this crash he bellowed out, “Now this is a landing worthy of a song!!” He would have said more but …And since Gong’da was not strapped in he was hurled towards the Klingon like a tiny dart with razor sharp teeth. “Ahhhhhhh!”

OOC: Love it!
OOC: I thought you would!

The tiny cry was the only warning Torgh had, but then that wasn’t enough when he felt an impact on his shoulder that pushed him forward, the already strained restraints complaining and one side snapping. A moment later the pain of a myriad of sharp teeth biting in reached him and his bellow was replaced with a growl of unrecognition. Reflex followed as he tried to remove the offending thing - only realizing that it was not a thing but the Nish’ma. A spark of reflexive fear ensued as he thought of poisoned fangs as he gripped Gong’da and yanked …
- TorghThe 4’ 5” ferengi hung there a couple feet off the ground like a cat being held by its owner when it did something wrong. “Mind putting me down so I can help the wounded good sir.?”
Torgh looked at the blood around the physician’s mouth. “I suppose, now that you’ve eaten,” the Klingon replied, complying given that he wished as little contact with the demon as he could. He was, however, still concerned about poison in the fangs. It pained him and he was certain that he would have more pain soon as the adrenaline of the landing subsided. With both hands free, he unbuckled himself from the seat, the straps almost sighing with relief now freed from holding Torgh’s bulk. Idly he wondered where he stood in the queue, or whether a wound by the doctor put him at the back of the line.
“Much obliged.”
Standing amidst the wreckage he assessed things; he was the Counselor after all. Byr looked no worse for wear. Cross, however, wore worse.
Unfortunately Cross hadn’t been so bright either, that or macho, and hadn’t strapped in either. So he lay unconscious over the navigation console from the impact.

Emily also was not strapped in having barely had a chance to sit down from where she had been trying to reengage the dampners.

Byr unbuckled once the shuttle had landed, and looked around to see who else hadn’t been beaten around too much. “Was I the only one who wore my seatbelt?” he asked, his antennae flicking with curiosity. “Should we try and get in contact with the other group, let them know that something happened?” he asked, looking to the ranking officers for approval.

Amze also unbuckled herself before speaking, “You were not the only one, and I do have to ask if our communicators are even functioning after a crash like that?”
Amze Ezma
“I was wondering the same thing,” Byr replied as he tapped his commbadge to see if he was able to reach the rest of the crew that had come down beforehand.

Unsurprisingly the shuttle’s communications system was down. A dull static came through Byr’s comm badge as he tried to contact the other team. From the storage locker, their friendly Aussie pilot let out a weak and pained whimper.
Kallie carefully unbuckled her seat belt and made her way over to peer at him. She leant over and peered at the battered pilot as she sighed and shook her head. “This one’s broken…” she said simply and rather rudely closed the locker again, leaving Bucky trapped in the container. Ignoring the conscious crew, she made her way over to Gong’Da’s bag and pulled out his medkit. Stepping over the luggage that was now strewn about the cabin, she went over to Cross and pulled out a tricorder, proceeding to run a full and detailed scan on him.

Cross had some broken ribs and a concussion from being thrown into the front console at such a velocity, it was a miracle that he didn’t have more serious internal injuries such as a burst spleen, liver or lungs from such an impact.
Cross
Gong’da got to Cross first and found his bag. He scanned Cross and noticed his injuries even though he could tell by the bruising. Since he didn’t have a sickbay all he could do was bandage and brace the ribs with items he found from the wreckage. He gave Cross a painkiller to help but did not want him put out because he may be needed.

OOC: Cross is currently unconscious:)
OOC: I know. I meant that I wouldn’t give you a sedative that would keep you unconscious. Sorry I wasn’t clear.
As much as Torgh was not very technically oriented he could navigate around. Looking about he tried to determine whether there were any immediate threats to the safety of the crew - not the least from the damaged shuttle and possible fires or toxic leaks that could precipitate an evacuation. Byr was working at communications. This shuttle was not going to fly again - that much he could tell. Striding over wreckage he worked to get the hatch open to the outside. “Byr, do we know where we are in relation to .. anywhere?” he asked.
- torghByr thought for a moment, thinking about the reading he had done on the way here, and learning about the culture and geography of the planet. Based on their trajectory when the shuttle started spinning out of control, and the fact they were in what seemed to be some jungle-like area, he considered his readings to think if they even landed near their intended destination. He also checked the plants to see if he could identify the flora of the location they were in, to get an idea of the climate.

By some miracle, Byr’s tricorder and PaDD had actually survived the crash. Thankfully, although the shuttle was not going to be flying again, there was no immediate danger of explosion and nothing toxic leaking.
The shuttle had settled in the middle of a dense forest which stretched for several kilometres in each direction. According to Byr’s topographical information, they were approximately 40km from the resort but the journey to get there was not going to be easy. Once they had traversed through the jungle there was a wide river where the resort offered white water rafting, kayaking and a whole host of water sports but there was no way to cross. After that there was a large swamp and finally they would need to find their way up and over a mountain to actually get to the resort. Whilst there was a mountain trail, it would not be an easy climb.
Underneath one of the consoles, the frightened form of Ryalla whimpered and trembled as she cradled a badly broken arm. As she looked around the carnage in the shuttle, she rocked back and forth muttering to herself. “I’m sorry…I had to…”
Mother Hen
Gong’da heard the whimper and came over to Ryalla. “It is going to be fine little one. I will help you. ” He gave her a painkiller. “That should help while I work.” He looked at her arm and immediately saw that it was broke. He looked at it to see if he could reset it properly.

Byr was surprised as he pulled out his tricorder and it still worked. He quickly made local scans, and double checked his PaDD. He hadn’t let go of it since he picked it back up after the pilot took it from him the first time. “Well, the good news is we don’t have to worry about getting blown up,” he says. “The bad news, we’re a long way from where we’re meant to be, and it isn’t an easy route. Based on my studies of the planet on the way here, we’re approximately 40 kilometers away from where we were meant to be,” he says. “And… well, we’re going to have to cross an uncrossable river, and go mountain climbing. It’s actually starting to sound like it will be a fun leave,” he said as his antennae twitched, thinking of the adventure that awaited them. The temperature was a bit too hot for his liking, but the mountains, the walk, everything that was before them was things he did as hobbies.

Torgh watched as the people around him did their thing. He relished the near death experience and the challenge ahead but, he admitted, beyond that being a Klingon trait, he was over his head. Counselors typically didn’t get a lot of command or first aid or similar training. However right now he was needed for other things. The medical staff were doing admirably, even if he was more interested in using himself as a snack bar. Byr was unharmed, though the climate would take some of the wind out of him. That would need to be observed. Ryalla, Cross, the pilot .. who else was injured? They had a choice – stay here and hope that their descent would have been observed and looked at or try to make a cross country trip that in itself would be dangerous for half of them. They could split up with the able bodied making the trip. He glanced at Cross and the wreck of the shuttle. He would rely on the doctor’s assessment there. Fortunately he was not the ranking officer.
“Byr, can you fix the comms and rig up some kind of power source for it to call for help?” he asked the Andorian. He didn’t want to yet think of trying to carry Cross for several days to a hospital facility. Would the ship have seen them go down? He’d like to know what had happened and what had caused the explosion but that was likely vaporized in the act.
“Who else needs medical attention?” he called out. He wondered though if he was the designated snack of the demon than anything that would get ‘patched’ up. His shoulder ached but he would live. Unless of course the fangs were poisoned. In that event he would die. Painfully. But oh what way to go!
Turning to Ryalla he said, “You are brave, little one” he said. It was more a declaration than perhaps a reality, but that was more his style – coddling never got anyone anywhere. “Can I help” he asked the demon, er, doctor.
- TorghGong’da looked up with fierce focus in his eyes and blood from the Klingon still running down from his mouth. “Yes. See if you can find peices of metal to use for broken bone stabilizers. Then find anyone that has a bad gash or something. Start a triage.”
The shuttle was not ‘that’ big that he wouldn’t be bumping into people in his search already. He had to think actually about the meaning of triage. Something about separating people according to their injuries. Bad gash. “You mean gashes not caused by teeth,” he said dryly. “You might want to see how the Captain is,” he suggested. The man had been quiet and, while one could suggest he was collecting his thoughts, the time had gone past that of embarrassment; it was time to look into his condition. “I’ll see about improvised splints.” That should not be that hard to do - there was plenty of scrap metal now to choose from. Moving to the side he leveraged his foot on a seat and pulled until the arm of one of the seats gave way that had already been twisted half off.
Sitting in the corner of the cockpit the commanding officer found himself in a confused and dazed condition shaking his head for a few seconds hoping he could bring order to the chaos he pulled himself to his feet and looked around at the shuttle. “How are well all” he began by asking sitting on a seat the possibility of the captain been concussed becoming more and more of a true statement. “Who’s hurt?” he concluded with.

“Already taken care of sir! At least the for the moment but you may want to talk to Byrn. He has info on our predictiment. “
“I’m OK, sir,” Byr replied, looking over the shuttle to see if there was any salvageable parts that he could use. He didn’t have any phasers equipped, but he did have his tricorder. He never went anywhere without it, and he was planning on scanning the local flora and fauna of the planet as part of his leave, he always found that relatively relaxing. “I might be able to make something, nothing like Jameson or Bradford could, but I did bring my tricorder - maybe if I can get to the communications array on the shuttle, I could use the tricorder as a power source, it would give us a brief amount of time with comms, maybe enough to send a distress signal for a few hours at most,” he said, looking over the shuttle’s condition, he didn’t even know if any of the communications array would have survived the crash, but he started digging through the shuttle to see if he could salvage anything that he could at least get a signal out with.

Torgh looked at Byr and grinned at his underlying enthusiasm. “A human saying - necessity is the mother of invention,” he said to Byr, then, “Where there is a warrior there is a way.” He grinned, wielding the twisted chair arm like a club. “That is Klingon.”
TorghAs Ryalla sat whimpering in the corner, Kallie sighed as she looked around the battered crew. “I’m bored…” she complained as she twiddled her hair. “I’ll see you later…” she added as she picked up her bag and adeptly clambered her way out of the wreckage and peered back down into the shuttle. “Unless anyone wants to come too?” She offered.

OOC: As I am going to be LOA for the weekend as I am attending a retreat, I am going to leave Cross unconscious for now. Sorry, you’ll have to create a travoise and carry him:)
