“Reading? Fiction, non-fiction. pads or paper? Details lad, yer a Scientist details is yer bread and butter. To be able tah dissect yer own life shows signs that yer ready to dissect the universe.”

“Well, I’m always interested in reading information on other planets and their inhabitants - usually on PaDDs. When it comes to fiction, I do enjoy a good physical book to turn the pages. Something satisfying about that - and if I get really curious, I’d make it a holonovel,” he said with excitement as his antennae twitched again. “So, I’d say fiction and non fiction, and the medium depends on the media,” he said with a smile.

OOC: No Problem, I’ve hit bookmark links halfway through posting when switching tabs before, and not submitted first… that can be a pain…

IC: “Well, my favourite novel in general would have to be a series of books called Nightlord, it’s an Earthern 21st century novel about vampires that are human during the day, a rather interesting premise considering the earthly folklore surrounding such beings, which has always been a curious one for me. Humans have always had such a fascination with death, and what happens after. And there are many stories, and the folklore of Vampires seems to stretch over hundreds of years. It does make you wonder why they have such fascinations, if I’m being honest,” Byr responded, his antennae showing he has always found that rather curious.

“As for holonovels, I rather enjoy the holoadaptations of the books of R.A Salvatore, always a good sense of adventure in those,” he said with his antennae twitching with favorable moments in those sessions.

James nodded and gave a final puff of his pipe, looked into it and saw the dying flame. He grabbed a small metallic object from his pocket and used it to douse the remaining flame and removed the pipe from his mouth. He finished his glass and let out a sigh of relief “Well Ensign, do ye have any questions for me?” He asked with a satisfied grin on his face.

“Well, when do you want me to report for my first shift, sir?” Byr asked, the only question he could think of asking at that time. He was still getting familiar with the ship, and he wanted to start his work as soon as possible.
