The argument between the pilot and copilot had gone on for the past three hours, and probably would have continued on save for the fact the sensors went haywire and started reporting all manner of odd readings. Moisture condensation, wind gusts up to 120 kph, circuitous cloud motion, sudden pressure drops, and massive precipitation. Flood warnings and high wind alerts were screaming for the control panel…
As they flew through empty space at Warp 5.
A voice behind them, deep and rumbling like distant thunder, said “Mmmm… dat dere is a hurricane forming.” The accent was thick, Scandinavian probably, and belong to the incredibly handsome and muscular Lieutenant in one of the passenger chairs.
The two pilots looked back, looked at each other, and looked back at the blonde-haired blue-eyed man and then started to chuckle. “Hurricane… right. In space, no less.” said the pilot, but the co-pilot mumbled under his breath “Just… listen to him.”
