The ship’s historian, the expert on dimensional studies and the molecular biologist are keeping well apart because well, the expert on dimensional studies is extremely boring, the historian smells and the molecular biologist read the suggestion that they would be transformed into one being in another thread. So the scientists are there working away, when a Junior Scientist says, “fellow scientists, you may want to look out the viewport … and tell me, is there a giant hand out there doing a thumbs up to me?”
