Viktoria entered the transporter room after speaking with the two intelligence officers she would be working with. She took a deep breath as the chief just stared at her “I know believe me I know, but if we had any alternative you know we wouldn’t be chancing it. She turned and looked at the door hoping that thing would go well for the junior officers left on board the ship

It was not common for the CO to leave the ship during missions. Definately not by Federation protocols.

“Does it look so bad down there? What’s the situation?” Mike asked.

He was busy with USS Viking which always needed something fixed, so he wasn’t sure what was even happening on the planet.

Lt. Mike Stone, CE

“The colony is having issues with their weather station” she said as she looked back to the door waiting for her cso to arrive “if we can’t get it fixed in a timely the entire colony could be lost”

As they waited for the CSO to join them, the transporter comm panel bleeped as a message came through.

=/\= Vaila Colony to USS Viking, we are prepared to receive you, we’ve had a few problems with the turbolifts so will beam you directly to the command centre, we are sending the coordinates to your console, transport when ready. =/\=

Mother Hen

She tapped her badge =/\= understood=/\= she said turning towards the chief. He looked up at her “corridnants recieved ma’am. I still don’t like the idea of you transporting down”

She gave him a sympathetic look “If we had any other given the sensitivity of the mission we wouldn’t beam down, but the lives of everyone on the colony is depending on us.” He just shook his head and hoped the transporter would behave this time.
