Viktoria entered the transporter room after speaking with the two intelligence officers she would be working with. She took a deep breath as the chief just stared at her “I know believe me I know, but if we had any alternative you know we wouldn’t be chancing it. She turned and looked at the door hoping that thing would go well for the junior officers left on board the ship

It was not common for the CO to leave the ship during missions. Definately not by Federation protocols.

“Does it look so bad down there? What’s the situation?” Mike asked.

He was busy with USS Viking which always needed something fixed, so he wasn’t sure what was even happening on the planet.

As they waited for the CSO to join them, the transporter comm panel bleeped as a message came through.
