Looking at the little device in his fingers, he thought about the building process. “Data Transfer has been completed.” The computer announced, Reira tapping the notification away as he pinned it to his uniform above his comms badge. It was bigger and slightly bulkier than he expected, but the power requirements were beyond what he previously calculated due to the biometric data. Activating it, he selected the only profile loaded. wthin seconds he was engulfed in a hologram and he looked in the mirror, the device functioned.

He stared at his reflection, it wasn’t him. It was Leo Akaba, his father. His abuser. One of the few people he genuinely wanted to harm and one of two individuals he believed deserved the agony of assimilation considering the pain and suffering he inflicted upon so many for his own and Section 31’s agendas. The dark heart of Starfleet that played with them all like a cat with a ball of yarn, manipulating events in their favour. His desire to destroy them had fuelled him through the years of pain his father put him through, the medical experimentation he was forced to endure. Switching off the device now that it worked, he recharged it fully and snuck into a Jefferies Tube, crawling his way through and focusing on the task at hand.

Clambering out onto Deck 25, Reira ducked into one of the crew quarters which wasn’t being used and began accessing the computer once he switched on his holographic cloak, a device he invented that allowed him to impersonate other people if he had significant amounts of information about them, it had to be accurate including their biometric data. He only had all that information for one person currently, his own father. Leo Akaba, Captain of the USS Lanius, a Section 31 Refit of the Galaxy-Class designed for tactical missions with lots of experimental weaponry and technology such as a phased cloaking device and transphasic weapons.

He saw the reflection in the glass, he wasn’t 5‘8 anymore but 6‘3 and had black hair instead of lilac but those dark blue eyes remained, colder and more hostile. No nanoprobes this time, it would be something of a giveaway as he masked his location to the one Leo last used to access Section 31’s database, entering in Leo’s command code at the LCARS command prompt system brought up the hidden Section 31 interface. “Please enter extended command code.” The computer requested, Reira hating that voice. It was on Leo’s ship too… “Akaba-6-5-9-Alpha-4-2-Beta-1-7-5.” Reira spoke in Leo’s voice, placing Leo’s hand on the console and allowing the machine to scan his iris.

“Command Authorization Accepted.” The computer stated, the cloaking sytem worked and he had about… 50 minutes left. Tapping on the database search function, he began his instructions, making the computer search for the following subjects.

Commander Akorem Nevin.
James McHarrie.
Reman Imps.
John McHarrie.

Watching as the search ran, Reira felt a little excited but also nervous, watching as the results came on-screen.

The results of the searches came back showing the bios of each officer.

The information about the Reman Imps was limited. They were genetically programed small creatures that could be programmed to carry out specific tasks. Amongst their unique abilities was a telepathic effect of forgetting that you had seen it as soon as you looked away. Unprogrammed Imps also known as Ferral Imps simply wreak havoc eating and or destroying anything breeding asexually.

Section 31 had developed a technology to nullify the effect of the imps telepathic field and had dispatched a team aboard the USS Semmelweiss to steal an imp from the Romulans. The team consisted of three of the Semmelweiss crew - Commander James McHarrie, Lieutenant Commander Akorem Nevin, CMO and Commander Matthew Grimshaw who had been assigned to the ship as a mission specialist for their cover assignment.

The mission was unsuccessful due to the stolen imp breaking out of containment and the Semmelweiss had to be destroyed.

After the mission James McHarrie became CTO of the Viking bearing the marine rank of Major. Akorem Nevin had become CMO of the USS Asimov. Grimshaw had been left behind after reportedly whistle blowing to the Romulans.

“James, you piece of shit…” Reira whispered in Leo’s voice, downloading all the information to a spoofed portable drive so no-one would know who owned the drive. He had to get this to Kara and her friend urgently, the information was vital as he began the data transfer. Nevin… He was a Section 31 operative, he hoped by driving Leooff that had all stopped. He was a fool to assume that, but desperation drove him. Grimshaw, he would conduct further research at a later date. With the information downloaded, he covered his tracks and logged out, turning off the holographic cloak and using the Jefferies Tubes to reach his room again. It was vital the First Officer wasn’t aware of what Reira knew or had done, he didn’t fancy the idea of a few months in the brig.

The download contained the information about Reman imps and all of the content the James McHarrie had provided in the package previosuly sent to Nakuto and reviewed and decrypted with John’s help. There was also the video footage that Grimashaw had sent to Nakuto & Sigmundsson shortly before their previous mission. The footage was security fottage from a Romulan Science lab and how James McHarrie, Matthew Grimshaw and Akorem Nevin beamed in, stolen two imps and set a third loose.

Getting out of the tube, he stood up and shut it. This information was vital, he had to get it to Peter in Intelligence, turning a corner he saw the first Officer and continued walking, acting natural. Of course he would be an obstacle between him and the safety of his quarters… Still, there was no reason to suspect him in anything, right? Akorem couldn’t possibly know about the hacking yet…
