Side Sim: Cdr. Kohr's quarters
Posted by Ensign Mike Jones (Medical Officer) in Cdr. Kohr’s quarters
Mike now that the place seemed to have settled down immensely thought that it was the only proper thing to do. Beside which the XO was a darn big fellow! Mike’s mission at the moment was to speak to the Commander about the incident in sickbay. He was pretty sure that the XO would see his actions as some sort of weakness, but Mike didn’t much care. He had been raised a bit different than that. He could almost hear his great grandmother scolding him in his ear. ‘You just don’t talk to a fella like that Michael!’Thus, it was then that Mike found himself in front of the XO’s door ringing the chime and hoping that he felt some restraint about murdering doctors.
Ensign Mike Jones MD
The Klingon’s eyes opened slowly when he heard the door announcement, bowed low before the altar of Kahless, and finished his whispered respects. Gripping the bat’leth before him in a gauntleted fist Kohr stood, pivoted on the ball of a bare foot, and strode across the padded floor to the door. He couched the polished blade in the crook of his elbow and tapped the access button on the control panel. The door hushed open, and the commander gazed sternly down at Jones.
“You are not Ensign Keeley,” he announced flatly.
Without further explanation, Kohr turned and moved to the nearby wall and set the bat’leth almost reverently among the other various weapons decorating its otherwise plain surface. The room was dim save for a pair of low, wide braziers that smoldered with muted flames. The way the shadows danced along the ceiling, it would conjure in the mind the interior of a cave rather than a starship’s quarters. That was the way the warrior preferred it for some reason. The archways to the rest of his quarters were shrouded in an inky gloam, obfuscating the rooms beyond. That, too, seemed to be intentional.
Kohr returned his attention to Jones, hooking broad thumbs behind the woven belt that divided the padded muslin tunic from the matching loose trousers. The leather of the gauntlet enshrouding his right arm from tip to shoulder creaked with the motion. With his free hand he made a sweeping gesture, silently inviting the doctor to enter his domain.
“What is it that I can do for you?”
—Kohr, Executive Officer—
[As I wasn’t sure if this was a side sim or related to the main sim of the same theme, I added “Side Sim” to the title in case it was the former. If it was intended to be the latter, I can integrate it into the main sim line.]
