NE Larry and NE Moe were at the transporter controls when the call came to notify them that they should expect a landing party beam down. High fiving his partner Larry said, “..Alright man time to shine!” He grinned.

Moe grinned back. “..Should we try to beam them down without uniforms?”

Laughing Larry said. “..Oh jeez every time you say it I am tempted to do it but.....sadly no I like being able to breathe..” He replied.

T’Pria entered the transporter room just in time to catch the last remnants of the conversation. Initially ignoring the two officers, the Vulcan engineer took her position on the pad and then, in a tone as dry as the sands of Vulcan’s Forge, she remarked, “And perhaps I should reconfigure the food synthesizers to only serve you dry bread and warm water.”

Th’elin stepped into the room just after T’pria, intending to have a last word with Ivo before Cerny’s landing party departed for the surface. He raised an eyebrow, overhearing the exchange. “I think we’ll keep our uniforms, thank you.” His dark eyes rested on the two NE’s for a solemn moment before he nodded to T’pria. “How’ve you settled in so far?” He asked the Vulcan.

The Vulcan engineer had not been expecting small talk from her Captain and, as she attempted to form an appropriate response, the struggle was declared by the frown deepening across her face.

“I…it is satisfactory, Captain,” she replied eventually. “Thank you. And how are your quarters, Sir? I hear the command staff spaces are reasonably large on this ship.”
