~snip......~She gave him a soft smile. “Of course.” Hopefully tomorrow she won’t be such a wreck and could function more professionally. Leah didn’t regret her little breakdown, and she was glad to have found a way to do so, but the circumstances were not ideal. All she knew for certain was that she had a lot of thinking to do.

Dovek left and tried twice to engage with crewman but it did not go well, they politely declined but he could feel that they were uncomfortable. That night he spent time listening to deltan music wondering if he should go home, maybe give up his dreams of starfleet. He would start weighing his options. He then sat and mourned Juno privately, she had been his only true friend, and eventual secret lover. Her death had ripped out a part of his soul he was not sure he would ever get back.
After his shift the next day he was his calm, happy, controlled self, everything starfleet commanded him to be. He stepped up to Leah’s door and rang the bell.

Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelShe had meant to come in and do some reports before she had to be back in Sickbay. Split-shift days weren’t so bad, but they could end up being a bit more chaotic. Leah had braced her foot on the edge of a chair and had a PADD propped on her thigh, reading.
The next thing she knew there was a sharp sound and then a thud as her PADD hit the floor. Blinking her eyes, she realized she had fallen asleep. Damn it! She dropped her foot to the floor and felt it tingle as circulation returned. Bending for the PADD she picked it up and then rose from her chair, moving to the door. She opened it and stepped aside, knowing exactly who it would be. “Sorry for the delay. Come on in. You know the drill,” she said, trying to mentally shake off the sleepiness.

He looked at her, could feel here fatigue, “I don’t really have anything to report today if you would rather just get some rest?” he said waiting by the door. They had to meet so frequently one day would certainly not kill him, though Command sure seemed to think so. “I would be happy to leave, or we could just go somewhere and chat, get some coffee or something” he noted
Commander Thraz sh’Kellirathras,
Executive Officer, USS SentinelThe only place to get coffee was the galley, but they could always wander elsewhere. Goodness knows she needed something to perk her up, though the brief nap had felt nice. “I could really use some coffee, and I’m happy for the company,” Leah said, tapping the PADD on her thigh. She got up and gestured to the door.

Dovek smiled, “Coffee it is” he said standing to his feat, and motioning to the door with a smile, truth was he was tired he had not slept well and could use a cup himself. “I might need to drink a double” he noted

Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelShe laughed, which felt rather refreshing lately. “Oh, I hear you.”
Stepping out into the corridor and heading. “I have found it rather convenient that Sickbay and my office are so lose to the galley. It’s not such a big deal wit slip out and get something to eat or drink. Given the split shifts I’m doing right now, it’s been rather helpful.”
“You said you didn’t have anything to report. That’s fine. How are you though?”
~Leah Hart, NP
Zaril smiled “I’m doing well, Leah, I have my sad times at night but they are managable” he said, it was mostly true, if currled up on the floor in a ball trying to supress your missery was ok, but he really did not want to talk about it, she was gone and there was little he could do other than grief as best as he could. “And you, how are you holding up under split shifts, Im not much for them” he noted.
