OOC: Current orders for bridge crew: Tactical - see if you can find any ships that leaving in a hurry. Science - scans to see if you can find out where the intruder beamed to. Comms - search for comm signals. Engineering: Make sure navigation, engines, and docking clamps are working so we can get underway.“Alright, any word from the station on any transports from the Sentinel to them or from here and away to anywhere?”
Cpt. Asam, CO
It had taken him a lot of time to find his way to the bridge since the lifts were down. Moving on the edge of the bridge, everyone there felt peace, calm and little excited to be on the bridge. He scanned the room and found the captain. “Sir, Lieutenant Junior Grade Dovek reporting” he said looking around. He was not sure how everyone would receive him, there was obviously a lot going on, people were likely stressed before he came into the room and now they were not. Some people did not like the effect that he had on the room, it made them feel out of control, most did not mind or got used to it.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelAsam turned in her chair, feeling the familiar presence of a Deltan. She turned with a genuine smile. “Lt Dovek, welcome to the Sentinel.” She stood and walked towards him. “Are you settled and ready to get to work?” The captain appeared to not be affected at all.
Cpt. Asam, CO
Zarils posture shift slightly his eyes narrowing, but it was only for a moment. He tilted his head in a nod. “I am ready to do what I can, though I’m not sure the problem at hand needs a linguist” he said moving closer to her so he could make her out better.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S Sentinel“Right now, perhaps not a linguist, but a comms specialist. We’ve had a saboteur on board. Once the computer is back on, which should be…” suddenly all the consoles lit up, “now. I want you to examine the records and sensor data for any comm signals from that time. Approximately 2 hours ago. I’d like you to search the last 5 hours to start with.”
Cpt. Asam, CO
A well of excitement burst within it was momentary but people close by would have felt it. ‘finally something to do’ he thought. “Aye Captain” he said and found the comms station and sat down.
First he ran a routine to sample the daily traffic patterns for the last thirty days. Isolated the coms by posted shift hours and compared the last thirty days with the last 7 hours , he then separated the coms into two types, regular communications for those the followed the ships routine based on shifts and personnel. The algorithms only took a few minutes. Happy with his work he smiled and executed the code.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelIt took several minutes for the computer to spit out results. At first there didn’t seem to be anything that didn’t fall under regular communications, until Zaril looked closer and a few of those ‘regular’ communications seemed too bulky to be so simple.
Cpt. Asam, CO
“Interesting” he mumbled to himself. “Captain, I have Isolated a few communication’s that look,” he paused. “Suspicious”. He looked back at her, ” I would like permission to open them up.” he requested
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelRende nodded, “Do it. Whatever you have to, I’ll clear it with the Brass.” Better to ask forgiveness.
Cpt. Asam, CO
Zaril liked this captain already, a little on the edge is a great quality for a leader. “Aye” he said a small smirk forming on his mouth. He turned and started listening to the transmissions one at a time. He also ran scan’s for embedded message both in and out of the normal hearing bands. If there was something in the messages he would find it, he almost always did. It was only a mater of time.
He looked around the bridge, no one really seemed to be paying him much attention even with his presence. It was refreshing to say the least.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelThe audio part of the messages really didn’t have anything abnormal to say. There was something more in the lower frequencies, but it wasn’t an audio file.
EvilJen, DDoSFEO
Zaril’s eyes narrowed with focus, he started isolating and removing tones , something the the lower harmonics, he noted and listened again.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelThere wasn’t so much audio as static that seemed to be somewhat rhythmic.
EvilJen, DDoSFEO
Drovek slowed the speed down.. listening closer for a pattern, and looped it through the computer telling it to analyze the sound for patterns anything encryption codes. It was something he just need to figure out what. He leaned in listing slowing and speeding it back up
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelThe computer came back with an analysis and defined pattern for the rhythm. It was almost similar to old Earth Morse Code, but it wasn’t that.

Stepping onto the bridge, Alden moved directly to the science station. With the computers working again he pulled the sensor logs looking for clues as to where the intruder went.
Sensor logs showed the transport made a bunny hop to the station, then another docked ship, and then back to the station and was lost in the traffic of the station.
~ Cmdr Alden, XO/CSO
Alden felt a warmth, a sense of calm and peace as he entered the bridge.“Captain,” Zaril said. “I’ve got something” he said as he looked at the sender and recipient for names. His hands danced on the surface, trying to isolate the log to ensure the names had not been changed.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelRende stood from her chair. She nodded to Alden as she walked past his station. “What do you have Lt.?” she asked crisply. The comms themselves hadn’t been changed or tampered with. They went where they were supposed to, but the extra data seemed to bounce to different messages in an attempt to make it off the station.
Cpt. Asam, CO
“Captain” he said “I have isolated these message here” he said pointing to the list. “They contain a subsonic pattern that is not normal, it appears to be some sort of code” he said opening it and showing the pattern. “I have not figured it all out yet as it’s very, complex” he said, This here,, ‘ship’ and this waylaid’ and I think ‘Success’.” he said zooming to the link relays. “I’m trying to determine origin, but I’m not sure if that would help, it looks like whoever it was used someone else, well several someone else’s comms to relay the message.” He turned back to her, “I don’t think I’ll be able to tell who it’s from, but given a little more time I think I can tell you where it went” he said smiling at her.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelRende nodded, “Good work. Keep working on it.” She turned addressing her tactical officer, Ra’TI. “If they think we were waylaid, that may give us a chance to sneak up on them. Plot out a course to Cipharus III that will have the best likelihood of going unnoticed.”
“You got it, Boss.” Ra’Ti said with a wink. He looked back down at the tactical console and pulled up the Cipharus system. His eyes flickered back and forth as he spun the system’s planetary bodies and various asteroid belts and such; looking for a route that would get them there without drawing attention.
The comms whistled [O]Master Chief to bridge, reboot was successful, we’re doing some final repairs but you should have Warp capabilities within the hour[O]
Master Chief Karl - CE
Rende stepped back to her chair and pushed the comm button. [O]Thank you Master Chief. Good work and pass on my thanks to you and your team. Bridge out.[C]
Cpt. Asam, CO
Zarik gathered the messages that had the embed code and started trailing were each one ended up and what each one said, it was going to be a few hours at least, he thought. So far this crew was a pleasure to work with, they did not seem to notice his , gift, or if they did it was certainly well hidden. He did need to have a talk with the captain though.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelXam finished plotting a course and sent it to the helm station. “Got it, Skipper. It’ll look weird you see it, but that route keeps at least one celestial body or object between us and the planet until we decide to poke our head up.”
Ra’Ti, Chief Tactical Officer
The bridge doors whooshed open as a dark skinned female Ensign, black hair coiled upon her head in braids, wearing the blue uniform of Science stepped out of the lift. She paused as she looked around the bridge spotting both the Captain and the XO/CSO. She appeared to be in a bit of a quandary then as she visibly swallowed before she said, “Permission to enter the bridge, sir?” In her hands she clutched a datapad.

OOC: Bump for CO or XO. You have a very nervous Ensign here:)As she stepped on the bridge Zaril turned to look at her, he gave her a puzzled look, looked back at the captain for a long moment. Then turned back to what he was doing.

Xam is our Tactical officer. There is lots to discover in the main security thread however.
Cpt. Asam, CO
Zaril leaned back in his chair and waited for the results between the different messages he should at least be able to get some locations to consider. He fired off his algorithm and waited. “Captian program is running Sir, we should have something here in a few minutes.”

Chandel approached the XO and handed him her datapad. “My report of my testing down on the paper that was handed to Rand.” The report read as follows:UNITED FEDERATION OF PLANETS – USS Sentinel
SCIENCE DIVISION – INCIDENT ANALYSIS REPORT
Stardate: 24XXXX
Time Logged: 1154 hours
Prepared by: Ensign Chandel, Science Division
Subject: Preliminary Scientific Analysis – Note Labeled “Danger–TQ”⸻
I. INCIDENT SUMMARY:
At 1154 hours, a handwritten note bearing the phrase “Danger–TQ” and a 10-digit coordinate reference to Cipharus III was delivered to Yeoman Janice Rand by an unidentified individual. The sender’s identity remains unknown. This report documents astrometric analysis, forensic examination, and theoretical interpretations to determine the origin and implications of the message.
The term “TQ” may reference a person, location, or operational code. This report focuses on narrowing its meaning through scientific means.
⸻
II. ASTROMETRIC ANALYSIS:
Target System: Cipharus III
Objective: Identification of stellar or surface-based references corresponding to the initials “TQ”.Procedure:
Astrometric databases were queried for celestial objects labeled “TQ.” However, due to a temporary systems outage, surface-level cartographic data could not be fully accessed at the time of initial analysis.Findings:
• No stellar, planetary, or orbital bodies within the Cipharus III system bear the designation “TQ.”
• Zoomed-in survey maps of the primary planetary body show a data marker (blip) over the capital city, indicating relevance.Key Discovery:
“Taani Quay” was identified through surface-level urban infrastructure overlays. It is an upscale public establishment (pup) situated in the center of Cipharus III’s capital city. Taani Quay is known to cater to upper-class colonial residents, often frequented by influential figures and off-world dignitaries. Conclusion:
Although not a stellar designation, Taani Quay (TQ) fits the initials in the note and presents a plausible surface-based location of interest. Its elite patronage may signify a political or diplomatic nexus—potentially making it a target or site of strategic importance.⸻
III. MATERIALS ANALYSIS:
Object: Handwritten note labeled “Danger–TQ”
Paper: Standard 20lb white cellulose fiber, non-distinctive
Ink: Black, standard stylus-based ink; no unique chemical identifiers
Handwriting:
• Left-handed
• Feminine handwriting characteristics
• Suggests intentional secrecy or avoidance of mechanical inputFingerprint Analysis:
• Six unique fingerprints recovered:
• Four matched: Captain Asam, Commander Alden, Yeoman Rand, Ensign Chandel
• Two unmatched: Not listed in any Starfleet or Federation database
• Chain-of-custody confirms known fingerprints occurred post-delivery.Conclusion:
The note’s materials offer no direct traceability. The presence of unknown biometric data implies external, possibly unauthorized, contact with Federation personnel or assets.⸻
IV. ADDITIONAL FINDINGS:
Indentation Analysis:
• Subsurface pressure marks revealed two Andorian words:
• ohlasa – explosion, blast, or fire
• hraas – assassination or murderLinguistic/Cultural Implications:
These terms indicate that the note may serve as a warning of violent intent, potentially referencing a planned attack or covert operation. The Andorian origin of the words could suggest the author is culturally tied to Andoria or one of its colonial protectorates.⸻
V. THEORETICAL INTERPRETATIONS:
1. “TQ” = Taani Quay: A probable target or rendezvous location in the capital city of Cipharus III.
2. “Danger–TQ” may imply:
• A warning of a future attack at the location
• A signal or call for action
• A coded message between operatives
3. Handwriting analysis and fingerprints suggest the sender is:
• Left-handed
• Feminine
• Non-registered with Starfleet or civilian agencies
• Likely a covert actor or proxy messenger
4. The combination of Andorian language and elite venue hints at a politically motivated threat, possibly linked to internal Federation tensions or external intelligence operations.⸻
VI. RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Immediate investigation into Taani Quay:
• Discreet security presence to monitor activity
• Cross-reference recent visitors with Federation Watch Lists
2. Astrometric system restore and surface map deep scan to confirm TQ’s urban placement and any hidden infrastructure nearby.
3. Engage Andorian diplomatic and cultural attachés to explore deeper context for “ohlasa” and “hraas” in regional usage or historical precedent.
4. Shipboard surveillance review between 1000–1200 hours to identify all personnel and possible intruders in contact with Yeoman Rand.
5. Notify Starfleet Intelligence Command: Possible indications of terrorist activity, sabotage, or political destabilization attempt on Cipharus III.⸻
