Zaril walked in the sense of peace and calm surrounded him like a bubble that offered a warm cozy blanket to anyone who was near by. All of sickbay felt a shift, like the day just better as he stepped to the nearest person. He looked around the room a smile on his face. It was certainly nice to be on a starship again. He did not like being on starbase there were so many new people and no please to retreat other than small quarters.“Lieutenant Dovek, reporting for my medical evaluation.” he said his body language and posture was professional and neutral.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelA fairly short nurse in a white uniform turned and smiled, her brown eyes exuding warmth. “Welcome aboard. I’m Leah Hart, Nurse Practitioner. If you have a seat on a biobed, I’ll just pull up your file and I can take care of your physical.”
Leah moved over to a console and pulled up the file. She had naturally read through the psych portion of it once the transfer orders had come through, but wanted to familiarize herself with the rest of the medical history.
~Leah Hart, NP
He looked down at her, he was a foot taller than her, but her eyes were certainly alluring. He did not linger on it long enough for it to effect him. He gave a short nod and hoped up on the bed. “Please do what you need nurse Heart, but please avoid physical contact where you can, and if you can not please get my attention first” he requested surprise touch made him very uncomfortable and could escalate quickly. “I understand you will be my councilor?”
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelHart nodded. “Yes, I am the mental health specialist here, so I handle evals and therapy sessions. We can go over all that after your physical. And thank you for expressing your boundaries regarding touch. I promise to be mindful,” she said with a soft smile. It was refreshing for people to be up front with her rather than wait till an incident to state their needs.
Leah started the scan. “Any illnesses, injuries, or allergies not on your file?”
OOC: Scan results?
~Leah Hart, NP
OOC : his general history is in his character profile, he’s a little under weight as he has not been eating much..
IC: He issued a controlled smile, “It is not that I don’t like being touched, if I’m not prepared for it, it can be,” he paused. “Complicated for us both, you should wear gloves as well” he said it was always hard to explain that if she touched in unannounced she may become effected by his pheromones. “I do not have any allergies per say, how familiar are you with Deltan physiology?” he asked
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelShe gave him a reassuring smile. “I’m not an expert but I have more than a passing familiarity. Xenophysiology and mental health are my specialities.” As much as she didn’t feel he had to explain his boundaries, she understood why he felt he might need to. Leah looked over the scan results and then back at Zaril. “Everything looks pretty good, though your weight is a little under your baseline. It’s not low enough to be too concerned but any reason you can think of for the change?”
~Leah Hart, NP
He looked at her and smiled. “I have not been very hungry lately, I don’t know he said looking around” he knew why but he was not about to air out in here, he he lost control the whole room would be crying in seconds.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelA lone figure in a white coat appeared from the central office. Reptilian in appearance with large, black eyes, the figure moved to stand next to the Nurse Practitioner. “Greetings. I am Doctor Kreed, the Chief Medical Officer. Welcome to the *Sentinel.” He looked at Hart and then the chart. “Lack of appetite could be indicative of a number of underlying issues. How long have you been feeling this way?”
Kreed, CMO
Kreed felt a sense of peace and joy wash over him as he entered the room.Zaril smiled tipped his head slightly and placed two fingers on his forehead. “Peace and clarity to you” he said hoping he had got the greating correct. “I’m Lieutenant Dovek, the new communications officer. “My eating is related to emotional distress I think” he said looking around the room. “I would be most interested to work with you in understanding the Saurian language ”
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelKreed paused for a moment and then said “Emotional distress?” Horizontal lids blinked across his large , black eyes , followed by vertical ones. “What kind of distress, Lieutent
Kreed, CMO
Dovek lowered his eyes, he really did not want to go into it in here, if he lost control emotionally they would all be sitting on the floor crying for reasons they would not even know, “I lost someone close a few months ago” it had been 6 months almost to the day. He shifted uncomfortably on the bed, his heart starting to sink, the peace and calm that was currently in the room began to fade as if something heavier was trying to push it away. Dovek pushed her out of his mind and things snapped back as peace and calm flooded back.
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelKreed appeared unaffected by the swing in the ‘mood’ of the room. The Saurian contemplated the junior officer for a moment and then said “That can certainly be a factor in weight loss and loss of appetite. I am sorry for your loss. Have you done any kind of counseling? Specifically grief counseling?” He looked at Hart and gave her a blank look. Well, blank to others. Their history granted the Nurse Practitioner a particular insight to the Saurian Doctor, and she would see the look as the message it was conveying… You will need to see to this quickly.
Kreed, CMO
Leah simply gave Kreed a look that said, I’m already ahead of you. And she was. She was already going to steer the conversation towards the mandatory chats they were going to be having. She didn’t interject, but instead let Zaril reply as he felt he could and then she would gently move them where they needed to be.
~Leah Hart, NP
Zaril look at Kreed and smiled softly. “I’m am, and am required to be seen weekly by Ms Hart, aside from my grief which is substantial , and I thank you for your condolences. My nature can become a danger to the ship. There are protocols, all crew members are required to report any” he paused he hated this part, it seem silly people could love him of their own free will, couldn’t they? “Romantic feelings about me to their counselor who is required to tell Ms Heart. ” he looked at them booth. “I assure you as long as I am healthy that will not be an issue”
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelKreed nodded slightly and said “Of course. I have reviewed your file; and I must say your level of control over your abilities is commendable. And I am certain that Nurse Hart will be able to assist you in working through anything you may need. But for the immediate, I want to address your lack of appetite and weight loss.” He picked up the chart and made a few notes. “For the next two weeks you will be taking an appetite simulator and put on a high caloric intake diet.” Black eyes looked directly into Dovek’s. “I want you to be meticulous in taking your medication and following your diet. We will reevaluate your weight after the two weeks. Is that understandable?”
Kreed, CMO
“Sir, It is” he said not really wanting to, but orders were orders. He looked into the distance as if looking for something profound to say. His thoughts momentarily on his grief but there was no change in the atmosphere in the room. “Ms Heart? When can we have our first meeting?” He asked.Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S SentinelLeah offered a warm smile. “As it happens, I have a very flexible schedule. We can talk now, or a little later today, whichever works for you. I’ve already made sure I could be available.”
~Leah Hart, NP
Zaril gave a small nod, It was good he needed to talk. “I would like after my physical, ” he said, “I’m eager to get to work, though I recommend having a suppressant available incase my grief becomes unmanageable. “
Lieutenant Junior Grade Zaril Dovek
Communication Officer U.S.S Sentinel
“We’ll work it out,” Leah said. As she had said, while not an expert, it was not her first foray into sessions with a Deltan.
Hart turned to Kreed. “Other than the weight issue, I found nothing physically to preclude clearing the Lieutenant for duty.”
~Leah Hart, NP
