The steady hum of the ship’s systems filled the quiet bridge. Instrument panels glowed softly under the subdued lighting, their readouts cycling through routine diagnostics and star charts.

Suddenly, the communications console emitted a clear, concise chime. A new transmission had just come through.

The communications station viewscreen flickered briefly, displaying the Starfleet seal — an unmistakable symbol that official orders were arriving.

Zaril looked at the light and cleared it and checked the message information. “Captian, in comming orders from starfleet .”

Ra’Ti, standing at the Tactical station, sighed and said “Goody. I was starting to get tired of rest and relaxation....” and he shook his head.
