Quinn settled at her desk after adjusting the Sakura bonsai on the shelf behind her to a better angle at least in her opinion. There was a stack of PaDD’s waiting to be read over but she was honestly hoping to get some of the physicals done. Either way she was certain she would be busy enough to keep out of trouble more or less. She hummed softly to herself as she picked up the first PaDD from the stack.Tags anyone?

USS SentinelA yeoman in command gold and lacking any sleeve stripes, marking her as an Ensign walked in to sickbay. She had bright red hair and wore a Scottish tartan sash pinned to her shoulder and tucked into her belt at the small of her back. She knocked on the office door. “Lt Kindle, do you have a moment?”
Yeoman Rand
“It’s open come on in.” Quinn retorted as she just finished reading over the first PaDD’s details. She smiled as the command clad ensign stepped through the doorway. “Would you like a hot chocolate or something?” she asked lightly as she regarded the red haired woman.

Rand smiled, “Good morning, Dr. Kindle.” Rand shook her head. “Oh, no thank you. I had tea this morning. The captain has ordered physicals for everyone. I’m here to schedule times for her, Cmdr Alden and myself.”
Yeoman Rand
Quinn nodded her head and picked up a stylus and PaDD, “Oh that’s wonderful I was afraid I would have to hunt folks down to start getting appointments. What times are you wanting so far my time slots are completely open.” she was slightly amused but genuinely delighted that she was about to get three certain evals done.

Rand lifted her PaDD that hung on a strap from her shoulder. “Well the Captain can come on Tuesday morning, Wednesday after lunch, or Friday after her call with command.”
Yeoman Rand
Quinn nodded and grinned cheekily, “Wednesday after lunch that way I don’t spoil her morning or cause additional stress, after a meeting with Command.” She made a note and looked at Rand, “Whose next?”

Rand looked at her PaDD and sighed to herself. Roman hated sickbay and would fight over this. But she wasn’t going to tell the doctor that. “Cmdr Alden. He has several meetings and experiments running that need supervision. And he’s not due for 2 weeks. Ummm let me look.” She scanned the schedule looking for a time where there would be nothing pressing or enough time to schedule something in its place. “Oh, next week, Thursday at 1800?”
Yeoman Rand
Quinn quirked a ginger hued brow slightly at Rand’s sigh, she checked her notes and nodded after a moment. “That is fine, they don’t like Sickbay much? I take from that sigh before you suggested next Thursday at 1800.” she said softly. She would have to make sure to try and sweeten the lure to Sickbay maybe she would start a tradition of having pastries or something for sweet tooth’s hunting, ready before difficult patients were due that might help. She made some side notes and looked back to Rand with a light smile if still slightly cheeky.

It was probably in his medical notes his aversion to sickbay, but she didn’t like to spread gossip either. “The Commander thinks his work is much more important than routine tasks. It is difficult to get him away from his work.” That was true, and everyone knew that.
“And then there is me. I can really come any time in the middle of the day.”
Yeoman Rand
Quinn nodded and looked at Rand, “For yourself do you want to get it over sooner or later? I have time tomorrow and whichever day you wish for next week.” she said with a light smile. Quinn made notes as Rand replied, keeping her eyes on Rand as she wrote. It was a trick she picked up after years of practice.
Part to keep an eye on her brothers while they were doing their home work because there were times they just tried to cheat. It had been useful in the academy too specially when one of her class mates missed a part of class and she had to fill them in on what was going on while still taking notes from their instructor.Tags

Rand wasn’t overly fond of hospitals. They made her nervous because she was always afraid they were going to find something, but she preferred to get things out of the way rather than wait. The longer she waited the worse her anxiety got. She looked at her schedule. “Hmmm…Monday? I can’t move my schedule tomorrow, but I can on Monday.”
Yeoman Rand
“Would 15:45 on Monday work for you?” Quinn asked softly, she waited for Rand’s response as she set down her stylus. She reached down to the drawer and pulled out a prismatic candy dish, there were wrapped candies some in clear wrapping others in bright colors. She plucked a peppermint for herself and set the dish on her desk and nodded towards Rand, “Help yourself to whichever takes your fancy.”

Rand nodded and tapped and flipped papers in her PaDD. “That will work just fine, thank you.” She continued to tap at her PaDD, making the necessary adjustments for all three schedules and then paused and looked up. Oh…candy? Should she? Too much sugar was really bad for you. Would the doctor judge her for choosing something, was this a test? Was it a ‘favor’ to give Rand one and then Rand would have to return the favor? Would she offend the doctor if she didn’t take one? What was she supposed to do?
None of this showed on Rand’s face however. Too many years experience kept her features perfectly poised. She smiled. “Thank you.” She took one at random and put it in her pocket. “Thank you, Doctor. I will get out of your way.”
Yeoman Rand
Quinn smiled and shook her head softly, “Not in my way at all. Feel free to drop by if you need anything. Have a pleasant day Yeoman.” Quinn made the note for Rand’s physical and then she took her time to unwrap the peppermint she’d plucked for herself using the wrapper to put in her mouth and then dropped the empty wrapper in the waste receptical at her side.

Rand smiled, “You as well doctor. And, please, if you need anything, do ask. I am happy to help.” She made a neat about face and hurried away. Kindle would learn that Rand hurried every where. She was always on the go, and didn’t waste time on a leisurely pace.
