Turning he strode back closer to Karl, again eyeing him in a way that was a man looking down on something he would rather squish or ignore ever existed. The perception Karl felt was the man was both seeing him as he was, and as some unseen man/guard the woman seemed to think he was. After a brief gaze, Strahd left walking down the hull and then vanished out of sight as if making a turn down a corridor off the hull. No sign of him having been present left behind.

When he would look back to where the ghostly woman had been, she too was gone! All Karl was left with was an empty feeling of foreboding that what he had witnessed was like some dark memory play out both in the past and in the present. But more importantly he could not get to work on repairing the now horridly damaged EPS tap and presumably get to work on the internal damages.

Karl blinked as the.. ghosts? left. He wasn’t sure what to think, so he did the only thing that made sense, he went and fixed a broken thing. He took the few steps needed to get the EPS tap and lowered himself to get to work, opening the tap itself to get to the internals. He didn’t make any comments for the bridge, figuring out what all that nonsense was why god invented officers.

Karl’s check of the tap showed most of the circuits would need to be mended by a circuit-plaster from his tool kit. After that it was simply swapping out the burnt controller chip for the tap with a general purpose spare from his engineering kit. While it would not be a 100% perfect repair it would be good enough for now until they were out of any possible dangers.

Once he had this in hand the whole operation took him another ten or so minutes. Once the panel clicked closed he could verify that the tap was serviceable to use once more. From here returning inside would be best and then getting some engineering teams to assess the other damages internally.

Through this though he might be struck with an internal thought, that what he had seen possibly was important, conferring with the bridge, and in turn the landing parties planetside could be important.
