“Well, until I hear otherwise from Capt. Knight, you are a guest on this ship, so I don’t think a cell in the brig would be appropriate. I’m sure we can set you up with a temporary quarters. Of course, for security reason, you might need a guard stationed close by, or even in your quarters. And, as I am the most familiar with you,” he ran a fingertip from her shoulder downthe length of Kavia’s body until his hand could reach no lower, “it was only make sense that i would pull that duty,”
“How do you work this holographic machine,” she said gesturing around the room with her hand. “Do you just shoot out something like ‘Computer put us into the middle of an ocean?”
=/\=In the middle of the ocean =/\= the tinny computerized voice announced with a twang as instantly the warm soft furs disappeared under Kavia and Colter plunging them into water that was not freezing but cold enough.
“What the hell kinda program is this,” Kavia said instantly treading water. “You just say it and it happens?”
“What if you say vicious ocean creatures does it produce them too,” Kavia looked a bit alarmed as she began to tread water facing Colter.
=/\=Producing great white sharks, box jellyfish, sea snakes, barracudas,=/\= the computer voice droned on enacting each thing Kavia called out as if it were real commands and not rhetorical questions.
Kavia
Before the computer could finish the phrase, DaVinci called out, ‘Computer, end program.”
The scene shifted once again to be replaced by the normal black-and-yellow grid of the room. The couple found themselves sitting naked on the floor, their clothes randomly scattered throughout the room.
The CIO laughed at the expression on her face. “Yeah, that’s pretty much how it works. Normally there are safety protocols in place to keep you from getting hurt or killed. I usually have those setting at the lowest. It keeps me more focused when I train. i’m not sure what it was currently set at, so those creatures wouldn’t have killed us, it may have made things unpleasant.”
Colter (CIO)
“And sitting here on the cold tile freezing our arse off isn’t uncomfortable,” she let out a laugh as she looked around. Seeing the clothes spread from one end of the room to the other she started to laugh harder. Were we really that active? I mean there is a sock over than and a bra over there,” she pointed moving her legs so that she sat Indian style facing him. “And in a way it is like that brig we just spoke of.” Her smile stopped for a second as she looked at Colter. “This really was something for fun right? NOt some high tech form of interrogation. Not that all the methods were bad but....it kinda looks like a jail cell.”
Kavia
“It was the most satisfying and pleasurable interrogation I’ve been been a part of. And I did learn some great information, like. . . where you like to be touched, and kissed, and–.”
It was at that moment that Colters comm-badge beeped to life.
=/\= Commander Colter, this is Captain Knight. Would you mind escorting our Guest to her quarters, I’d like you to report to my Ready Room when you are able. =/\=
Closing off the comm, Dante sat back and looked at the screen in front of him. Colters comm-badge was reporting him as being on the holo-deck with another life sign. That was clever, keeping her occupied so she couldn’t get up to mischief or probe the crew. He briefly wondered what Colter might have shown her that could interest her, possibly a guided coffee tour or the like. In any case he was sure that his Chief Intelligence Officer would have learned much about their guest in the short time he had been entertaining her.
Captain Knight, CO
=^=Aye, sir. I will be there shortly.=^=
DaVinci sighed, disappointed he was being called back to duty. “At least he said to escort you to your QUARTERS, and not the brig.”
“And that ends our evening,” Kavia said standing up and starting to put on her clothes in a pile. Finding his shirt Kavia slung it over one shoulder as she went about finishing getting dressed. The past few hours had been amazing. Kavia regretted nothing but goodbyes were always hard especially timed one where your boss was demanding your attention as soon as possible. After dressing, Kavia leaned against one wall and watched Colter finish dressing. He was so easy on the eyes. He was also so easy to be around. It had been a long time since Kavia had met someone that intrigued her enough to pursue a second meeting.
“Will I see you again,” Kavia asked point blank. Nothing indicated that Colter was not what he had proclaimed and this was well within logic that the captain would want to meet with his intelligence officer over the sudden appearance of an alien entity that materialized on his ship but it would still be nice for an answer. There was so much to see on this ship and Colter was excellent company to teach her about this corner of the galaxy.

The CIO finished dressing, straightened out his clothing and began walking to the holodeck doorway. He stopped before it could open. “Kavia, I most assuredly hope so. This has been an incredible afternoon. I will share with Captain Knight and Dr. Boja what you have shared with me about your reason for being here. The final decision of what’s going to happen will ultimately up to Dr. Boja, but, . . . ” Colter reached up, getly carressed her cheek and then kissed he again, just in case it was the final time, “I have have not regretted one moment that this day offered.”
