Sheleah didn’t feel completely out of her depth but, she should probably brush up on her emergency medical preparedness.

“Yes. Get everyone out you can via transporter.” Ally pulled out her medical tricorder and took a scan of the room and set some parameters. There was no way she was going to leave with radiation levels rising. She could treat radiation exposure to an extent. Engineers were the second worst patients after security because both departments stretched the limits of their physical bodies.

OOC: That is so true about what you just wrote about Security and Engineering!

IC: Matthew was droggy but coming to and hearing a lot of commotion. Looking up he saw two females. One he thought looked like the CMO but the other he had no idea. Come on Matthew! You can do this. Time to take control and have consciousness.. “Fjloyvvish.” Flawless. I’m getting there. He kept saying in his head. He slowly shook his head and tried again. “What’s going on?”

“Good morning sleeping beauty,” Ally said running a tricorder over Matthew. He was obviously was disoriented waking up and Ally wanted him to take is slow for a moment. Easy banter usually did the trick. “You had us worried for a moment. How are you feeling? Anything hurt?”

Shalaya grabbed a tricorder and begin tending to another patient. He seemed unconscious at the moment but, she could perform scans almost as fast as allie.

“My ankle hurts as do my…my head…as well as my head. How are you?”. He was still out of it.

“Good and I am going to fix you right up.”

Sheleah scanned three other beings. All are human. One had bleeding out of his ears from a blow to the head.

“Sheleah,” she called out to the counselor.

“I need you to use this and try to mitigate the concussion,” Ally directed the counselor. The ankle might hurt more but the head was a far more serious injury.

The second has second to third degree burns on their right arm from a fire from a console exploding.

Triaging Ally immediately went to the burn victim. Third degree burns sent people into shock and that was the most dangerous of all the injuries. Reaching into her bag, she pulled out the burn gel and began to layer it on the skin. He would definitely need skin grafts but she needed to keep him out of shock. Grabbing the thermal blanket, Ally opened it and spread it on the patient.

The third has a large six inch laceration across their chest from the same console that exploded. The blood is bright color and not coming out in spurts

A few moments later, the CO had done all he could to help. Now it was just waiting for the other two engineers to finish up and exit engineering. He stood by the doors waiting. . . .

Kolar had finally had found someone for the conn and arrived at the doors to engineering. “What’s the situation,” Kolar asked.

Looking out into the corridor, he saw the CMO still working on the chief engineer.

“How is he, Ally?”

“I need someone in here with another set of hands,” she yelled not caring which voice came in to answer her call.

DaVinci was just about to leave the open doorway when he saw Kolar rounding the bend in the corridor. Breathing a sigh of relief, he nodded in Ally’s direction as an indicator for the XO.

Kolar looked over her shoulder. He could make a medical assessment as well as anyone, but while many interventions were two person jobs, the second person had to be notified on what help they were to give. “What do you need doctor,” Kolar asked moving to the patient no one was tending to.”

He took a few steps back into the engine room and yelled out for the two engineers still attempting to shut everything down. “NE Radford, What’s happening in there? You just about just have the situation under control?”

As she left, she came to everyone’s location. “Am I needed with anything?” She asked.

Another look of relief came across DaVinci’s face as he looked up and saw Angel, someone else with engineering experience.

“Lt. Angel, there are two more engineers in there trying to control the situation. Get in there and give them whatever help you can. You’ve got about 30 minutes before the radiation reaches dangerous levels!”
