T’Reya nodded, then turned, letting her fingers dance a long the interface. The readout shifted from “Online” to “Active.” The interior lights dimmed more akin to night mode on the ship, and the alert status indicator lights turned on, pulsing a slow steady blue. Outside the Brave shimmered, distorted, and within a couple of seconds, vanished against the diamonds-on-velvet backdrop of stars.

The Romulan Sub-Commander let out a breath she didn’t know she was holding. The device, while it said everything was fine, could have caused any number of unforeseen problems. But all seemed well, and everything showed as operating normally. “Cloak active and stable. … And it looks like passive sensors are working just fine too. We can still see in the dark, just not quite as far or quite as well.”

GM Rei, GM

“Acknowledged, T’reya. Keep me abreast of any flucuations that may be of concern.”

Sheleah listened to the captain’s shipwide comm. She appreciated it when captains did things like that. Crew morale was more important than some of them realized, luckily this one did. She also glanced around the bridge to see how everybody was Manning their stations. All seemed well, unless it wasn’t.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

=^=Engineering, this is the bridge.. T’Reya says everything is steady and stable on this end. How does everything look down by you?=^=

CO/CIO USS Saracen

An NE Engineering officer had then said over coms =/\= Everything here looks good down here captain =/\= NE Logan said over the coms. While Lieutenant Angel was standing at her station on the bridge she sat there listening to everything.

“You got me,” Ally said in a positive tone. “We can take Death off that checklist.” The crew was all experienced officers but missions like this tended to create tension and anxiety by the nature of the assignment. Ally could not guarantee that anyone wouldn’t get hurt or die but there was no reason to add to the tension and not to see the cup as half full. She trusted the crew. She would go the distance with them but that didn’t mean she had to be worried about it. She had been in wore situations before.

Ally Scott CMO

Kolar cast a glance at the CO next to him. Both men had seen years of combat and the effects thereafter. Hopefully this mission would end in not just success but everyone returning safely home.

Kolar XO

DaVinci caught the look from from Kolar and nodded in agreement as if reading his mind. We’re all coming back from this, X.

The Lieutenant had acknowledged that engineering has been keeping things that have been going on and stood there. “Sir. We should be good to go.” She said with a slight smile.

=/\= Engineering to Bridge. Everything is still working well. I am buffering the shields to maintain them better at a higher frequency since we’re in the Nebula and am monitoring the radiation levels. =/\=

OOC: Sorry to post here. I didn’t know where to post.

Lt. Commander Matthew Quigley, CE

OOC: No problem. This works.

IC: “Thank you for the update, Mr. Quiggly. Let me know if there any issues down under.”

OOC: I see what you did there! Lol

=/\=. Roger that Captain.”. He then went back to his console to monitor the shields.

Settling back in his seat, DaVinci gave another look to Kolar and said quietly, “And Away we go;”

“Helm, ahead full impulse,”

Lyndzie had then sat there at her station. Quietly. However, not knowing what is going to go on with the current mission. However, she knows that she is going to be having something worth while doing so.

Sheleah made a mental note to check in on Quigley and schedule an evaluation of him and perhaps Lindsey in the near future. There was no point making either of these things official during their current mission. Doing so would add undue stress to the situation and that was not what Sheleah wanted at all.

  • Sheleah, CNS/DO

After giving the order, the captain sat back in his seat and relaxed. If things were going to go south, he assumed it would be closer to their target.

Lyndzie had then started to tap away on her console and continued working. With no further orders that the captain have given just yet. She feels a lot less stressed. But stressed enough.

Ditto.

The Brave slid through the nebula like a thief in the night, leaving nary a disturbance due to the cloaking device, the Brave’s stealth capabilities, and the Saracen’s volunteers.

Occasionally, a bit of turbulence would ripple through the ship as a result of the radiation from the nebula. After a significantly harsh shudder, DaVinci regained his compusure and ordered, “Status report, all stations.”

“Operations is good sir. All systems normal.” She said with a nod.

Matthew pressed his com badge. “Engineering holding steady for now sir”

Lt. Commander Matthew Quigley CE

Balfor was used to a little turbulence after his stint of the Olinski. They were always being bounced around on that ship due to heading into battle or dodging weapons fire to get their spacecraft out of a battle.

Kolar XO

Lyndzie sat there at her station looking at the XO to see he’s not used to different things and was about to ask him. But she knew that it was in her best interest she stayed right where she is.
