The turbolift doors slid open and DaVinci stepped onto the bridge of the USS Brave.

He surveyed the crew at their stations and nodded. Everything was as it should be.

The ship pulled away from SB 310 aand the order was given. “Helm, set a course for the Hogura Nebula, maximum sustainable warp.”

“Aye, sir,” replied the NE at the helm. A moment later, he added, “At warp 9, it’ll take us about 10 days to get there.”

“I’m aware of that, Mr. Speed, but I believe that’s our best shot to get to the McAlister C-5 Nebula without notice.”

=^=Attention all hands. We’re headed to the Hogura Nebula. That’s gives us 10 days to get to know everything there is to know about the Brave and what she is capable of. I expect you all to know her intimately. Make sure you’re also aware of how the C-5 Nebula with have an impact on her capabilities. I have no doubt you all will be at the top of your game for this mission. Than you. Colter out.=^=

The Lieutenant had seen the captain walk on the bridge and with a smile she stood at her station. She had then nodded at the captain giving him confirmation that Operations is green. She had then started to speak. “Operations is a go. Green through the board sir.” She said with confidence to the captain.

“Captain on the bridge,” Kolar called moving from the main chair to his own.

Sheleah stood quietly at a station. She had spent the whole morning dealing with new quarters, tiny office, and a very upset ocelot. Being on the bridge was actually quite the relief for the moment.

Flynn stood to attention as the Captain entered the bridge than dedicatedly returned to his job. Fizzing with anticipation for the new mission, now that Allison had brough up his expectations for it, he was completely in the zone as he committed the systems and statuses of the Brave to his memory and double, triple checking that he was as well acquainted with it’s parameters, which although didn’t vary overly much from the Saracen, could still prove disastrous if the ship ended up in a worst-case scenario type situation.

The CO settled into his seat, nodding to each of the crew as they reported their status.

Ten days, DaVinci thought. That’s a lot of time for things to go wrong.

He mentally crossed his fingers and tried to relax.

Moments later another figure entered the bridge of the Brave. Piercing eyes took in the space as it was arranged, noting the faces of the crew, especially the senior staff as though matching them against a mental roster. Hands behind her back, T’Reya made her way to Captain Colter and stood, waiting to be addressed at his convenience.

“Captain,” she said by way of greeting. “Our little toy is plugged in and preliminary checks seem to be in the positive. Where do you want me to ‘set up shop’?” There were a few auxiliary stations which would suit her needs. Or he might kick her back to engineering, but the bridge fostered better coordination.
