Adam stepped out of his office at 1538 hours and walked towards the turbolift. His destination, Deck 7. He was on his way to a surprise inspection and meet and greet with the Security staff. His goal was to surprise the department during a shift change, He wanted to see how the department head interacted with her department. He knew very little of his Chief of Security, only that she was recently promoted to the position, and the rank of Lt. She was also rumored to be young. An interesting mix to Adam.

After a couple minute, lonely ride in the turbolift, Adam arrived at Deck 7. He stepped forward walking intently towards the armory, where he assumed the shift changeover would occur. Not seeing anyone outside, he punched in his code, and stepped smartly into the armory, looking around.

At the back of the Armory Ensign Fraiser was doing inventory, something that he completed at the start and finish of every shift. He was nearly done when he heard the doors opening. “You’re early Parker,” he called out over his shoulder, presuming it was his relief since it was so close to shift change. He threw a quick glance over his shoulder -just to be sure- and tensed when he recognised the face. Although familiar it was definetly not Parker.

Carefully Flynn returned the rifle he was taking inventory of back to it’s place on the wall, quickly marked it off his list and turned to stand at attention. As per usual his expression was perfectly controlled, however, he couldn’t ease all the tension out of his shoulders, but he hoped it passed for youthful nervousness. Of course the man from the shuttle would turn out to be Flynn’s new XO. Hopefully this was just a passing visit and Flynn could get back to his job without delay.
