Down on deck 5 in transporter room 1, as the officers selected for the trip down would come in, one of the Reman crew from the lower decks had brought up the basic survey gear they would need, as well as the basic disruptor pistols and personal knives and personal forcefield emitters for their use.

Good, slave, Karek thought to himself as the Reman had done as he had ordered. Karek wasn’t sure the Reman was a slave, but there were so many Remans who were, it would be forgiveable to think of them such. They were a subservient race, inferior to the Romulans in any case. He gave the crewman an appreciative nod.
