after leaving the atmosphere, Ric aimed his fighter for the Olinski’s fighter bay. Keying his mic, he called to the ship.

=^=CIC, this is Ricochet, returning from the surface. Am I clear to land?=^= Strangely, his request was met with silence.

Again, he called to CIC. =^=This is the CAG. CIC, do you copy?=^= And again, there was nothing but silence.

A third try was to contact the two fighters he was out in the black with. =^=Sehlat, Apex, do you copy? Can you hear me? CIC is not responding to my calls.=^=

When the the other two tried contacting CIC, Ric could them, but no response from the ship. The problem didn’t seem to be with the comms on their end.

As Ric’s fighter approached the fighter bay, he looked to CIC ,but could see no activity through the window. No one manning a console, no movement, nothing. CIC appeared devoid of any life.

He landed the fighter manually and popped the hatch. Exiting Ric tossed his helmet into the seat. Right now, he was more upset than worried. There SHOULD be someone manning CIC 24/7, even if no fighters were out. After bursting through the door, Ric stopped in his tracks. There were people in CIC, except the six in the room were scattered about the floor, not at all what he expected to see.

He knelt down beside the nearest body and looked at the man’s face. Ric could see fear in his eyes, but no response. “Ensign , can you hear me? What’s going on?”

The man’s eyes looked pleadingly back at Ric. That was the only response. The CAG moved to the next body on the floor and found this man in the same condition as the first. He made his way to the others, all in the same condition, conscious but unable to move.

=^=Sickbay, this is the CAG. I’ve got six men down in CIC. All appear to be conscious, but unable to move or respond. I need a medical team here, STAT.=^=

Ric pulled a tricorder out of one of the CIC cabinets and moved back to the first man. He began scanning the man while speaking calmly to the ensign. “Medical is on the way, buddy, hold on. I sure wish you could tell me what the hell is going on.”

Ricochet (CAG)

=^=Commander, until we can figure out what’s causing this, please don’t touch them… we have two EMHs on the way.=^= Lieutenant Michaels replied.

CNS

Xandra frowned as CIC failed to respond to her as well. When Ric got into CIC he would hear her growling comm. =^=CIC respond! This is Sehlat… permission to land?=^= Her growl and cursing was heard but indistinct. =^=CIC, come on guys this isn’t funny. Answer the comms!!=^=

She shook her head and called to Ric and Apex, unaware Ric was already inside, her own ship now on direct course for the Olinski, a few moments behind Ric and Apex from her stop. =^=Apex, are YOU reading me? Someone frigging respond!=^= The edge of her voice shifted. She was moving from angry to worried and Ric would notice, even if Apex didn’t.
