Sid took a seat and waited for his senior officers to arrive.

A few minutes later, NE Lennon from Engineering appeared. Oh god. I’m the first to arrive. “Sir. I, um, Lt Gould sent me from engineering. He’s working on a long range control of the Dragoon. It’s precise work. Best left to experienced hands.” Nice save, genius. “He gave me a shorthand summary of what went on with Engineering details.” He held up the PaDD.

Kolar entered glancing at the Captain, “Sir.” Then two the out of place ensign. “Is Mr. Gould unable to join us?”

OOC: Ghould’s post places Jason in an awkward position. I last had Harn with Gould, but he wouldn’t let Gould stay in engineering if the captain paged him. He would insist that the chief engineer accompany him to the briefing room as ordered. Sidney outranks Jason, so just because Jason okayed something doesn’t mean Sidney doesn’t override it. The only way the XO would show up without the CE is if the CE told him EXACTLY what he was up to, so he could explain to the captain the reason for his absence. Sorry Gould, I don’t think sending an NE is going to cut it.
