“Go go we are going to have fun,” Kate said in a happy tone as she watched Rivar head to the door. “And don’t come back in an hour. I am not on duty until 1600 hours tomorrow so if you want to stay out all night go for it.” Part of Kate felt funny telling the Captain to not come back to his own quarters but with a baby on the way, this would be a rare chance for them to get away. Besides he was the Captian. If he and Morganna decided to spend the night in the holodeck only NE Ensign Woody Bump would be stupid enough to say that to the Captain and the Counselor.

As the door closed, Kate knelt down to eye level with Mailah and Nailah. “So what would you two like to do,” Kate said sitting back on her heels. “Just cause your Mommy and Daddy went out to have some fun doesn’t mean we can’t either. We can go to the pool or the recreation room ooooooor,” Kate drew out the word getting a huge smile on her face. “Or we can go to Vaughn-Teller Universe,” she was almost wiggling herself with excitement. It paid to know people sometimes and between Kate and Shaun’s family, they seemed to know pretty much everyone. A few months ago, Dawson had told his family during the weekly Sunday comm call dinner that his old flame Jessica Vaughn had told his most recent ex-flame who had told the girl he was now seeing that Aedan Teller had built almost overnight a theme park to rival the Disney Empire that had been thriving since the 1950’s. The only part that mattered in this story was that Jessica had given several people, including his mother, a holo version of the park to see what they thought of it. Of course, Lauren O’Neill had sent a copy of this as fast as one could blink to each of her children. To Kate this seemed the perfect time to try the program out.

The young girls shared glances between each other. They were not full telepaths so they couldn’t easily read other people’s minds but they could easily communicate to each other.

No Nal, we can’t, mommy wouldn’t like us doing that. You heard daddy. she said as she spoke to her sister telepathically before looking back at Kate and Shaun.

“Yes! I’m in, Nal wants to too she is just being silly.” Said Maliah as she jumped up and down thrilled at the idea.
