______________________________ BACKGROUND:

Shaun grew up in Edinburgh, Scotland, Earth to a mother and father of five children. Shaun is the second to last child, his sister Fiona being younger than he is by four years. He moved at the age of 8 to West Virginia region of North America after his father came back from an injury from a mission as XO on the Ticonderoga where he opened up a business with his former CO.

Shaun grew up close with the O'Neil family in the region, who's family seemed to mirror Shaun's, with five kids like his family. Switching from the big city to rural West Virginia was a culture shock as a child for Shaun, who knew little of outdoor living as he had to learn to adjust.

During his time with the two families bonding, Shaun became close friends with all the boys, but found himself attracted to the sister.  Shaun began dating Kate at a young age and the pair even got engaged while they were both  in Starfleet. The engagement ended after Kate gotten cold feet and left him at the alter. After the heartbreak Shaun changed his plans and took a position on Persie IV to avoid contact with Kate as he got over her.

Recently, Shaun took a position on the USS Odin, only to find Kate took on the role as COS of the very ship. Time will tell if Shaun can get over the hurt, as his  Kate has always been the apple of his eye from a young age.

Shaun has always been a city boy before he moved to West Virgina.  Prone to seeking out bigger cities in time he learned to adapt to the small rural life his family had moved to.  Shaun is adventurous, with an Irish charm that seems to just pour from him.  He uses his natural people skills to make his patients feel at ease, and seems easy to adapt to hard situations.
