“Fire the torpedos at the same time as the burst from the deflector array and take us into that asteroid belt at our top speed.”Stovik said as he leaned forward in his chair, face concentrated on the forward viewscreen and the Cardassian ship displayed thereon.

“Copy that.” Kane said and programmed in the trajectory so that the torpedoes would look like they fired out randomly and their explosion radii would overlap just in front of the Cardassian vessel, but not actually hit them.

“I’d suggest a few power surges right before. Might help sell the whole ‘Oh-my-god-we-are-all-going-to-die’ shtick.”

“See to it, Mr. Kane.” Stovik said as he waited to see what would transpire.

“Copy that.” Kane replied and did a quick scan of what was left of their ship. He tapped the comms and said =/\= Tactical to Engineering. We need several power surges in multiple areas. We gotta convince these guys we are about to explode. Shouldn’t be too hard, especially if you make Loring do it. =/\= after that he tapped a few more commands and then said “Torpedoes ready, course programmed.” and he looked at the CSO through wisps of stray hair. “As soon as you say go and their sensors are down, I’ll launch and we can boogie.”

Power surges ran through a random set of eps conduits, blowing out a few. A couple of consoles on the Bridge sparked and started a little fire. A shimmering sound could be heard as well as Taggert. Kane and two NE’s who were fighting a small fire disappeared in an orange transporter haze. Reports came in from various decks about damage as well as missing personnel as the ship made it’s burst of speed. It would seem the plan had worked otherwise as the Cardassian ship had yet to open fire.

“Captain, our teleporters are still offline, I think the Cardasians have beamed some of our people over to their ship!” Andrea said. She ran to a working tac console and checked if she could raise at least minimum shileds. That would prevent further beaming out…
