Mwezi happened to step in at that point, and his face actually lit up when he spotted Kula. The Officer stepped over to the female Laleri and the two touched their fingers together. “Kula… It is wonderful to see you are doing well,” he spoke, then turned to the Captain and Taggart. “I see the two of you have met Officer Kula,” he spoke, his tail wagging slightly.

“They do not know of the Mind Chamber,” Kula said cheerily, her own tail wagging. “Would it be appropriate to show them at this time?” She asked.

Mwezi glanced at the two present Controllers, who were conversing with one another. This room was not a special set-up for this occasion and was actually one of the station’s lounges. “I do not think there is anything special planned, so I suppose that we could,” Mwezi nodded with a small smile.

With the both of them speaking, something was abundantly clear - Mwezi’s accent in speaking English was much clearer than that of the female or even the Controllers.

Stovik nodded,”That would be very interesting to view. It would seem these chambers sound like something that give you an alternate entertainment?” He asked. Deducing this from their description of using it when they were bored.

Captain Stovik

“Yes, an entertainment system,” Kula spoke with an excited look on her face.

Mwezi nodded. “Certainly. The Mind Chamber is a sort of virtual reality experience based on technology from several centuries ago. Humans had a similar technology in the… oh, when was it?” he muttered slightly to himself, trying to remember his History of Earth Technology elective. “Ah, I believe it was in the early twenty-first century, before the third world war. Although the Chamber is much more effective. We’ll show you,” he said with a smile, turning to leave the room.

Mwezi

“I still don’t get what you’re saying but I’m game to check it out. Will you show me how it works Kula?”

Commander Chris Taggart XO

T’Aria had been absolutely silent, the entire time. Most of her culture valued the quiet, finding it to be rejuvenating. Thus, she wasn’t bothered by the lack of speech, on her part. However, without words, came an indefinite realm of opportunity, by listening. As the Captain and the Commander led the entourage, she listened to the answers of their questions, or even ones they supplied, themselves. She quirked a brow towards the idea of this chamber, wondering what technology allowed for it to work. Once more, mute as Chief Bromden, she waited for Kula or Mwezi to lead the way.

They reached a corridor with several doors, and Mwezi opened one to reveal a small room with chairs against the wall and what looked like helmets with black visors in boxes in the center. He stepped in. “This is the mind chamber. You wear the helmet on your head and sit in the chair, and you can be transported into another world,” he explained.

Kula stepped over to a slightly taller chair and pulled out a helmet with a front that was built for her species. “I think the Laleri helmet will work best in regards to size for the humans… And non humans,” she grinned, and Mwezi agreed. He grabbed three helmets and handed them to the officers. “Find a seat and put on the helmet. It… Might not be a perfect fit, but it should do the trick”

Mwezi

Feeling a most definite sense of curiosity, Stovik arched an eyebrow and accepted the proffered helmet and setting it on his head, sat in the chair. He wondered what he would see and pushed that thought aside, he would see what he would see when the helmet was activated. Not logical to allow the sense of anticipation to affect him. He waited calmly.

Following subsequently to the Captain, the young doctor adjusted the helmet upon her head. Taking a seat, nearby, she allowed her hands to rest beside patiently waiting for the following steps. While curiosity prickled at her mind, she was not so keep as to ignore it, as the Captain seemed to. She allowed her mind to stay on a logical track of attempting to determine possibilities of what would occur.

Chris smiled and took the helmet and put it on. It was big for him but stayed on and he believed that he would still get the best out of this. He took a seat and almost fell off by sitting too close to one side. Maybe he should have took a seat first before putting it on. “Ok. I’m a go as well.” He felt excited.

The two Laleri smiled, then as Kula put on her helmet and sat down, Mwezi grabbed a special helmet made in a different colour. The “control” helmet. He got ready, then pressed a button.

Everyone’s worlds went black as all sensation was lost to them. Then, out of the ether, a prick of light. The light grew, and grew, and… They were in a featureless white room, and could see around them four figures. These figures would be assumed to be each-other, but the human and Vulcan officers no longer were human and vulcan, but Laleri. The two native officers looked relatively similar to what they looked like in real life, although they seemed to be dressed a bit less formally.

“Well, this is the Mind Chamber, where basically anything is possible,” one of the Laleri spoke, a deep voice that must be Mwezi. The other, more slender, must then be Kula. “Create sunset on Zara beach,” he ordered, and the white of the room began to shift, and moments later… they were on a beautiful beach, the sun setting on the water. Mwezi smiled, looking around. “I used to watch this every night before I went to sleep…” he said softly.

OOC: It is a tech similar to that of the Matrix, but not evil. And you can get into it without a wire into your brain.

Stovik looked around curiously, digging in one foot into the sand to see how solid it felt. He tilted his head to see what he could hear and smell.
