: : : : : : Emily stepped into the sickbay, glancing around with a curious expression on her face. Welp, she had to get it over with at some point, now was as good a time as any. Quietly, she sat on a bed and waited for someone to notice her.

: : : : : : Emily Harper, Security
: : : : :
: : : : : The sound of a new foot step pattern made Ha’ge turn hiis attention from the padd in his hands. The taller vulcan male scanned the room until his dark earthen eyes found the source. Gently setting the padd aside with the chart marked for later updating, Ha’ge stood and made his way to the newcomer. Stopping three feet away from the stranger’s left, Ha’ge spoke in his normal, even baritone.
: : : : :
: : : : : “Greetings. I am Ha’ge. Please proceed to biobed two and be seated in whatever way provides you comfort.”
: : : : :
: : : : : Ha’ge motioned the newcomer to a biobed approximately five feet behind the security officer, not waiting for a response before the doctor himself moved away to the bed’s side to activete the scanner and que up the programming on the bed’s attached padd.
: : : : :
: : : : : “Please state your name, rank, and if you have traveled outside of the known star systems in the last 30 days.”

: : : : Emily slipped onto the requested biobed, then answered the questions. “Emily Harper, Ensign in Security, and no,” she shook her head. Being on the Chernov would be her first opportunity to do such an ‘adventurous’ thing.
: : : :
: : Ha’ge wordlesy nodded in the affirmative to the Ensign as she sat.
: :
: : : : Her eyes were locked on the Vulcan. She knew there were a few of them on the ship, but she hadn’t seen one in a while. Aliens. What an amazing thing. She’d grown up knowing they existed, but still! To see and interact with them on what she was realizing was going to be a daily basis? Especially with that strange wolf dude who was in Security. How did a wolf-man end up existing? Then again, she could say the same about Caitians, humanoid cats.

: : Ha’ge looked up from his padd, a sense of wonder coming from the direction of the young ensign. Earthen brown eyes scanned the human gently yet thoroughly before returning to information input within the device at hand.
: :
: : “Please state any physical injuries of an emergent nature, or that should be noted for your file. As well, when was your last meeting with a star fleet counselor?”

: “I broke my arm when I was thirteen, um… I think that’s the only thing I need to point out. And…” She frowned, thinking. “I talked with one before I left for the Chernov, obviously. Ships don’t have counselors…”

Ha’ge considered this a moment before he began typing notes in his padd and preparing the full body scanners.
“Fascinating. Apologies, I clearly have not been briefed on this change to ship check procedures. It seems it has been too long since I have been aboard a vessel of this size and function.”
Without missing a beat, the Vulcan officer stated easily, “please lie back in a comfortable position as I am about to engage the scanners.”
- JO Ha’ge
“Um… I might be wrong, I’m not sure. I just… don’t think ships regularly have counselors…?” she looked genuinely confused.
She laid back and relaxed, letting the scans show that she was a perfectly healthy human female.
