It was the first step to being cleared for duty aboard the USS Chernov. As she exited the turbolift she noted that she was quite early in arriving. Deciding that it was better to be early than late, or just standing in the halls, she approached her DH’s office anxiously. She nervously flattened her uniform with one hand as she pressed the chime with the other. She didn’t know what she was nervous about. The Academy had prepared her beyond adequately for her first assignment. She took three deep breaths, as she mentally calmed herself. OOC: Very nice first post, welcome aboard! “Enter” A soft Scottish brogue behind the door answered the chime. The office had a single desk with a computer on top, several items neatly gathered on the Desk, including several PaDDs, a notebook made of paper resting next to them and a single plant whose pot was stuck to the desk. On the other side were two chairs currently unoccupied. Behind the desk sat a thin man with short chestnut hair carefully combed. He was reading something on the Computer as he looked up through the open door “Ah Yes, Ensign Watson I presume?” He smiled politely and gestured to the chairs.
