USS Chernov
Sickbay - Onboarding Physical
Once dismissed, T’Aria departed the shuttlebay in pursuit of the Quartermaster to confirm and acquire access to her quarters. Her walk, though brief, allowed her a moment to refamiliarize herself with the Chernov. It was considerably larger and more bustling than the clinic on New Vulcan. Her life had slowed in the past few years. There were few emergencies at her clinic. Most days were occupied by routine cases from patients seeking more culturally considerate care than standard Federation medicine offered. She offered traditional knowledge alongside accepted therapies. In the afternoon, she supported local ethnobotanists in identifying plant species that might possess the same or similar-acting compounds as those found in the medicinal herbs Indigenous to Vulcan. Then, when her shift was done, she returned home knowing the night would not be interrupted. It was predictable. In a way, T’Aria appreciated the reprieve, but it would be unfair to say that she did not noticed the Chernov’s absence.
After a brief exchange with the Quartermaster, T’Aria stopped by her quarters to relieve her bag, before heading to Sickbay for her onboarding evaluation. Though she knew the layout of starship facilities rarely changed, she still found herself surveying the space as she stepped inside. Her attention flickered from the nurses station to the adjoining examination room, then to the surgical suite doors, before returning to the reception desk as she made a swift approach.
“Greetings. I am T’Aria,” she made a curt introduction, mentioning the appropriate identifying information to streamline their search for her record. “I am here for an on-boarding examination. Soonest available, please.”
