Ararhiq blinked away the confusion that knit her eyebrows together in what appeared to be a fluffy white caterpillar and nodded. Assuming there had been a minor misinterpretation of her words because he had just spoken with Ricky, she took the opportunity to hear more about him.

“Eagerness is a welcome trait in new officers,” she smiled, “I’m sure he’ll be a integral part of your team. How long have you been in charge of Security?”

“It appears I’m on…” she followed the directions laid out by the PaDD with her finger until she landed on her assignment, “Deck 5.”

Ordering the turbolift to the appropriate deck, Ararhiq straightened and slipped into a comfortable silence until the turbolift delivered them to their destination.

“This way… I think,” Ararhiq murmured the last part as she narrowed her eyes, attempting to get a closer view of the instructions. It seemed like they were headed in the right direction. “Thank you for your help, Forster. You made my morning a lot easier.”

John smiled at her “anything I can do to help because where all in this together” he said following her the he started talking again “crewman Ricky will be getting his in soon pip soon he’s done great work and I’m happy to see him get promoted”

“I thought…,” Ararhiq’s words trailed off as she pondered his comment, perplexed by how an crewman who only just arrived a few days prior was already up for promotion. She chose not to question it. Stiffening, she paused and considered her PaDD before lifting a finger in the general direction of a nearby door. “This is it.”

Ararhiq approached the door, inputted the code provided, and stepped back in anticipation of its opening.

“Thank you, again, Lieutenant,” Ararhiq tucked the PaDD under her arm and extended her other arm to receive the bag he’d carried. “I’m sure you have work to attend to; but, I hope we’ll come across each other in the mess someday. It’s always nice to get to know other officers.”

OOC: crewmen Ricky have been a crewman for a bit now and he arrived on the ship recently to end his crewman duties

Ajhilaa bade Forster and Ricky farewell before slipping into her quarters and relieving the bag narrowly hinged on her shoulder onto the bed. She took a few moments to unpack her uniform and a few select trinkets she feared might break or become too compressed if she waited until after her check-ins.

Satisfied with their placement, Ajhilaa made her way toward Sickbay. She never minded physicals. They were quick, painless, and essential for maintaining up-to-date records on all crew.

So, it was with a relaxed and somewhat placid disposition that she stepped into the sickbay and approached the nurses station, saying to whoever was there:

“Hello, my name is Ajhilaa Ararhiq. Are there any appointments available for an onboarding physical?”
