At this time, the tent, John Foster came down the corridor with one of his security officers they were discussing a panel that was left open by someone in an engineering. I just got done documenting and reporting it when Foster stopped as he saw the newcomer coming out of the transporter room.

“Hello you must be new here welcome aboard this fine vessel” he said with a friendly and warm smile.

“ do you need any help carrying your luggage?”

He offered

“Oh!” Ararhiq turned to face the pair of officers, returning the–she looked at his wrists–Lieutenant’s welcoming smile. Based on the red tunic and how he walked in tandem with another officer, she figured they were either weapons officers on patrol or engineering officers on their way to fix a malfunctioning component.

“If it doesn’t impede your duties,” she nodded, grateful for the opportunity to relieve her shoulder of the bag’s weight. It wasn’t that it was terribly heavy, Starfleet-issue bags just weren’t designed for people with cartilagenous plates. “That would be great.”

“Ajhilaa Ararhiq,” she extended a hand to the man who greeted her and offered an acknowledging nod to his companion, “Science. What are your names?”

John smiled “I am Lt.John Forster I am the CWO and this is crewman Ricky. We are about done with our patrol.” He said as he took her luggage from her he then turn to crewman Ricky “head back to the office tell the team meal time will be in the mess hall” he said as the young crew man rushed away

“Thank you,” Ararhiq said as he took the luggage, her fingers instinctively gravitating to where it had inevitably dug into her shoulder. “It’s good to meet you Lieutenant Forster, Crewman Ricky.”

She paused while Forster redirected his crewman to return to the brig. He seemed eager.

“How long have you been aboard the Chernov, Forster?” Ararhiq asked, checking her PaDD for her quarters assignment before starting on her way toward the turbolift, cognizant to keep pace with John.

“Ricky has only been here for two days. He is a good kid very eager to prove himself” he said as they entered the turbo lift “ so what quarters have you been assigned to?” He asked.

Ararhiq blinked away the confusion that knit her eyebrows together in what appeared to be a fluffy white caterpillar and nodded. Assuming there had been a minor misinterpretation of her words because he had just spoken with Ricky, she took the opportunity to hear more about him.

“Eagerness is a welcome trait in new officers,” she smiled, “I’m sure he’ll be a integral part of your team. How long have you been in charge of Security?”

“It appears I’m on…” she followed the directions laid out by the PaDD with her finger until she landed on her assignment, “Deck 5.”

Ordering the turbolift to the appropriate deck, Ararhiq straightened and slipped into a comfortable silence until the turbolift delivered them to their destination.

“This way… I think,” Ararhiq murmured the last part as she narrowed her eyes, attempting to get a closer view of the instructions. It seemed like they were headed in the right direction. “Thank you for your help, Forster. You made my morning a lot easier.”
