Captain Kurkk Eldon of the Constitution had just left the comfort of her own ship and – along with her team of engineers – energized in the Chernov transporter room. WIth her, she had Lieutenant Augustín Zóbel de Ayala, her chief engineer, and five junior engineers (three humans, one Andorian, one Caitian – all male, except the Andorian and one of the humans), ready to be deployed wherever needed. Boxes of supplies were on the transporter floor too, mainly materiel needed for quick repairs of various kinds.
