Pawl finished off what that had to be done in engineering. As he transferred control to the Auxiliary control station in engineering. Where Ensign Smith was there attending the station while Pawl left engineering and headed off duty to take his break and relax a bit. As Pawl tapped his console “Ensign Smith Control of engineering is now diverted to auxiliary control. I am securing engineering now closing and locking doors and lowering the bulkhead hatch as well for security reasons.” Pawl told the ensign calmly.” Acknowledged sir! I have control. Enjoy your break sir!” as Pawl secured engineering. As he moved to the turbolift outside the engineering section and tapped the call button. As he waited quietly in the vacantly eerie corridor. Pawl felt off for some reason as the lift doors opened and he entered the empty car. as the doors closed behind him. As he grabbed the handle. “main galley!” He spoke louder than intended.

As the lift moved along its course through the ship as he moved toward deck 4 where the main galley was. As he exited it was still rather quiet here too he thought as he exited the lift and headed down the corridor to the galley as he entered he casually grabbed his selection from the food cards as he calmly moved towards the food synthesizer and inserted his card into the machine tapped a button as the machine hummed to life. as it was making his order as it beeped and the door slid open. As it revealed his tray of food and drink along with all he needed for his meal. He grabbed it and moved towards a table near a window as the stars streaked by at warp as he took a seat grabbed his napkin and unfolded it on his lap then grabbed his fork and started to eat his Salad quietly as the hum of the warp engines gave a soft hum as his mind fell blank as he ate.

“Are you Mr Batario, sir?” an unfamiliar voice said behind Pawl. “Did you hear about Kastarak? I know you were close.”

If Pawl turned around he’d see a Saurian ensign behind him, looking concerned.

Ensign Kali (NE)

“Yes, I am Mr Batario? What can I do for you ensign?” Pawl said softly as he stopped eating his meal. “Did I hear about Kastarak? No, I haven’t heard anything about the first officer. What’s up, Ensign.” Pawl commented. He noticed the concern on the ensign’s face. “What’s wrong with him?” pawl asked quickly almost panicked as his mind started racing as he attempted to feel the officer’s presence. But did not feel any or his mind was blocked by all of his emotions and odd thoughts that entered his mind. He did his best to keep his emotions in check until the ensign spoke.

“When the ship got hit, he hit is head. There was blood everywhere. He’s unconscious, and hasn’t woken up since. I fear he’s in a really bad state. I’m worried about him. The bastard Malone did this…” Kali was near crying.

Pawl fought the urge to run out on the ensign he took the time to help the ensign regain his composure before heading to medical.”If you are feeling ok now I will go check on Kasarak.” Pawl said with a reassuring voice. as he moved towards the door to head to medical one floor down on deck five. as he waited for confirmation from the ensign.

“Yeah, I’m fine, sir. I thought it was important for you to know the situation with him. You go, sir,” said Kali, concerned for Pawl.

Pawl left without another word as he sprinted to the lift. as he tapped the button to call the lift car. “Hurry up?” he worded under his breath as the car finally arrived as he got in deck 5 medical.” He said quickly asthe doors closed behind him as he turned to face the doors. So he would be ready to exit. Trying to keep his composure and not to run anyone over that might be waiting at the next level to get it. “I definately need to do some work on the lifts.” he said softly getting a bit irritated at the whole situation. as the lift slowed to a stop and opened to a clear coridor. He darted down the corridor heading to main medical are. A tap was hear as he almost hit the opening doors of medical. then stoped before finally entering the office. “Whats up doc.” he siad calmly as he could not trying to force to look at the biobeds.
