On this morning, Kastarak had not slept at all. It would be his third night without sleep. The captain had been advising him the other day, but still, it didn’t seem to help much at this point. Kastarak felt distracted and his head wasn’t working properly (did it ever though?) and with a pad in his hand, he suddenly stopped in his tracks, three centimetres from meeting Pawl Batario’s forehead.

“Mr Batario,” he said, “Forgive me, I did not see you. Are you alright?”

“I am ok Ensign I should be asking if you are ok?” Pawl asked calmly and serine. “Whats on your mind Doc.?” Pawl asked carefully not trying to pry into the mans thoughts.
