Jessica walked into the OMAP offices will all the confidence of her fiance Aedan Teller. She waved at Margot giving the woman a pleasant but curt nod followed by the rhetorical question, “Aedan is in his office?”

“Yes but,” Margot said rising in her seat but then sat back down. Aedan had given the OMAP staff strict orders that Jessica was not to be stopped in the lobby like a regular citizen. He did however not authorize them to let Jessica come and go as she pleased on a whim. Luckily her destinations were always one of two places: his office or the coffee room. Thanks to being six months pregnant and Aedan stopping all coffee consumption in places he owned Jessica palmed the door to labeled Mr. Aedan Teller, CEO OMAP.

“Hello baby do I have a surprise for you,” she said breezing in like she owned the place.

“Oh I see they didn’t harass you this time, what’s going on love?” Aedan asked, sitting at his desk he had his monitor displaying numbers, seemingly for the business but kept his eye on her has he closed it.

“Of course not,” Jessica said moving around the desk and crawling into his lap. With her bludging belly at six months pregnant, it was not the sultry move, she performed at the start of their relationship. It was more of sit down and groan as she swung her legs up and then wiggled to find a comfortable spot in the tucked up position. “The ring here on my hand” she waggled her fingers as if Aedan had never seen it before, “gives me ultimate cosmic power,” she leaned in and brushed the tip of her nose to his several times. While she might have preferred a real kiss, their ever-growing Bump aways seemed to have a plan of it’s own. This far along Aedan should be able to start feeling the baby move. All the books said so but Jessica was not sure he actually did feel it so each time they were together she showed him. Giggling she took Aedan’s hand and pressed it to a spot on her tummy. Looking up at him she bit her lip and smiled. “Feel that,” she grinned happily. “Bump knows you are going to be as excited as we are about your surprise. It’s saying ‘come on mommy just tell daddy. He is going to love it,’” she did a high pitched imitation of her interpretation of the tiny baby’s inner thoughts as if she was psychic.

“And… just what do you mean by surprise?” he emphasized, knowing her ideas could run from the mundane to the insane.

“Bump and I decided Daddy needed a break away from it all. You have been working non-stop on that IFEA deal for the past month and don’t say you haven’t. We know full well that as soon as you think we are asleep you crawl out of bed and work half the night don’t we love,” Jessica raised an eyebrow daring Aedan to deny it as she patted her tummy. “And don’t give me the excuse that 8 pm is too early to go to bed. You work too hard and need to relax so Bump and I spent a lot of money and book a vacation at a rustic lodge on the far side of Gamma Tiltium. It is very secluded and very rustic. No comms, no beaming, no distractions just you and me and the sounds of the wild. Let me show you,” she reached for the PaDD Aedan just closed down.

“The last time we got alone to some remote location I got you pregnant, so I guess that can’t happen this time right?” he said as he paused musing over the idea, a wide smile on his face. He loved Jessica, and while some things felt uncertain he never had that feeling with her. “Okay, fine we can do that. Just when do you plan to take us on this grand adventure might I ask?” he said, wondering what time frame as he let he bring up the location.
