Tabris Asam CNS Office, Pre-Sim

With his bosses meeting over and having a clean(ish) bill of health, Tabris asked directions to the CNS’s office and made his way roughly in that direction. He actually really enjoyed counselors and all they did, having gone to school for the job many moons ago graduating with a Masters in Psychology in 2020 and practicing till 2093. While his practicing years were a few centuries behind him, the lessons he learned trying to listen and help others have served him well over the years. The many counselors he has talked with over the years have truly helped him come to terms with the loss of countless friends, and how to handle the fact that compared to most of the humans he grew up with and knew, he was practically ageless comparatively. : : : : : : : : : : Placing a finger on the button, he pressed it quickly and with a genuine smile, wondering what new insights he could get on the station. : : : : : : : : : : – Tabris Asam, Operations : : : : : : : : A deeply, melodious voice came from within inviting him in. “Come.” The doors whooshed open to allow Asam to see the unique office from within. Though there was a desk immediately across from the doors there were no corresponding chairs in front of it. To the left of the desk was an inset seating area. The color scheme of the office was reminiscent of an autumnal forest planetside. Deep autumn colors were prevalent among the plush seating, carpeting, and pictures. It gave the office a warm, inviting feeling. As if one was walking into an autumnal forest. : : : : “Please, come in Lieutenant,” Chandel said as she rose from the desk and made her way around it and indicated the seating area in an invitation to him. : : : : : : : : Counselor Chandel : : : : : : Tabris walks in and stops two feet into the doorway looking around and saying, “Counselor your office reminds me of my own back in 2055 when I chose a similar color scheme, though that being said everything was very low tech at the time as you can imagine.” Walking over towards the seating area, Tabris made himself at home and asked, “So what led you into this line of work?” : : : : : : – Tabris Asam, Operations : : : : Chandel smiled,”Indeed. I find it very soothing and it reminds of me of being on planet. I first started decorating in this type of style aboard my parents ship when my mother allowed me the decorating choices. As we were in space for long blocks of time it ameliorated the yearning to be planet side.” She took seat across from Tabris as she answered his question. : : : : “As my parents were not of Starfleet, I am not quite sure. I found that I seemed to have a knack for listening to strangers in bars.” She smiled a bit deprecatingly as she shrugged.”I certainly did not wish to stay in any of those bars and do it long term. Starfleet seemed like a good option though I began in Communications. Yourself?” : : : : Counselor Chandel : : Tabris chuckled lightly, himself missing the comforts and regularity of a planetside life. He sat down himself and said, “I’ve done many things over the centuries Counselor, from this very job around 300 years ago to running various shops and now I thought I’d try my hand at engineering. I’ve always found myself sort of a tinkerer at heart, and what better way than to devote my time to that whole heatedly. Now that being said, my mechanical knowledge does stem mostly from the repair of antiques, and I’ve found that knowledge very helpful in my current pursuits.” : : – Tabris Asam, Ops “Indeed. That sounds like a fascinating hobby, Lieutenant. I can’t say that I have had as much experience as you but I hope my experience will be as varied over the years. How are you liking being stationed here?” Counselor Chandel
