Galley - Poisoning Investigation Take Two
IC: The galley staff’s kitchen was pretty spacious, but it was hard to notice at this particular moment. Seven members of the galley staff were there, none of them human. There were half a dozen security officers, and a lone science ensign present.

: : : : : “No, just because you’re stuck here and there’s alcohol does not mean you can drink it. Just be quiet and wait.” O’Hoolihan was speaking to a couple members of the galley staff.
: : : : :
: : : : : “You’re hoping to find out something from at least one of us, right? I’ve always found there’s nothing quite like real alcohol to get somebody to open up. I’m telling you, it’s in your own best interest,” suggested Zolthan, the Andorian bartender.

: : : : : : =^= O’hoolihan, Please send a Security detachment to secure evidence in an ongoing Investigation to Science Lab 1, it is hazardous material, and cannot be handled directly. =^= Gunny stated over the Comms.

: : : : : =^= Aye, sir. Haz mat team on its way. O’Hoolihan out. =^=
: : : : :
: : : : : “Ensign Simon, go get some haz mat equipment and head to the lab. Find somebody to bring with you. Anybody who isn’t here,” ordered O’Hoolihan.
: : : : :
: : : : : “Yes sir,” replied the ensign, who quickly exited.
: : : : :
: : : : : “Oh, Doctor, you’re here,” said O’Hoolihan, noticing T’Pen’s presence. “We’ve got the team you were asking for assembled. And the galley staff. Actually we’re still trying to track down one of them, but the rest are here.”

: : : : : NE Simon
: : : :
: : : : “Alright then. Sir, we should begin by analyzing the order of events leading to the insertion of the poison. We should identify which cooks were associated with the poisoned platters. We should then attempt to find who did it. We should have the forensics team analyzing the bowls and combing the galley. We should have those securitors doing interviews. I will be in communication with sickbay.”
: : : :
: : : : Ensign T’Pen, Investigator
: : :
: : : “I’ll help you with the bowl analysis,” piped in Zolthan. “They were classic white. And round. Simple, yet elegant. The bowls were very presentable looking, yet lifeless and uninteresting at the same time. Much like a Vulcan.”
: :
: : T’Pen would look at Zolthan with an unamused look, bordering on outright angry.
: : :
: : : NLt O’Hoolihan glared at the Andorian bartender. “May a rat eat you. And may a cat eat the rat and the devil eat the cat. In case you weren’t aware, you’re not helping.”
: : :
: : : With a chuckle Zolthan replied. “Oh, Lieutenant I like you. It’s just a shame your creativity in coming up with odd sayings isn’t matched by your investigative skills.”
: :
: : “Stop talking,” T’Pen said to Zolthan
: : :
: : : Turning away from Zolthan and towards T’Pen, NLt O’Hoolihan spoke to her. “Don’t mind him. For all his talk I think he’s harmless. We’ve already thoroughly searched the galley kitchen and all seven of the galley staff here and found nothing suspicious. Like I said there’s still one more member of the galley staff we’re looking for. Ensign Brine took some of the dishes to a science lab to check them out. You could try asking her what she found.”
: :
: : “She’s a Lieutenant Junior Grade, sir, just so you know. Double your efforts to find the last galley member. I want all seven galley members in interview. Try getting me a security officer specialized in interrogation to help me.”
OOC: Whoops!
IC:
“Lieutenant Junior Grade, that’s right. I don’t keep up with all those promotions of people I never talk to.” NLt O’Hoolihan then looked two of the security officers who were present. “NE Tweedledee and NE Tweedledumb, join the efforts to locate Pordak. We need to interview and search all the members of the galley staff, and we can’t very well do that if we haven’t found them all. Get more help if you need it.” The two ensigns nodded and exited.
: : :
: : : “If you ask me,” said Zolthan, interrupting the conversation, “any one of them could have done it. They all were either in the kitchen making the food or handling it while they brought it to the Blue Step. The only one not involved with the food in some way was the bartender.”
: : :
: : : “I know you’ll be surprised to learn this, but no, we weren’t asking you. Normally we don’t check and see what the opinion is of the suspects before determining if they are guilty or not.” Focusing back on T’Pen, O’Hoolihan continued, “We’ve done a lot of what you’re asking for already. We still seem no closer to figuring out which one of them did it.”
: :
: : “We’ll have to do some investigation before we know. Science is going to find the alkaloid composition asap and we’ll be able to find at what level of potency the poison was at.
: :
: : T’Pen would then turn to Zolthan.
: :
: : “For future reference, it’s ma’am. Don’t talk back to your superiors.”
: : :
: : : The talkative Andorian let out a little laugh and shook his head, but said nothing as his antennae waggled.
: : :
: : : NLt O’Hoolihan, Security
: : : Zolthan, bartender
:
: Ensign T’Pen, Pissed off
“Well, ma’am,” began Zolthan, putting particular emphasis on the word ‘ma’am’, which didn’t particularly seem respectful. “For future reference it’s Zolthan. I never talk back to superiors, because I don’t have any. That’s why I run a bar. But I’ll advise you not to talk back to your bartenders. If anyone knows how to ruin your night, it’s a bartender.”
NLt O’Hoolihan was letting his irritation show. “Enough, already Zolthan.”
“Alright, but if you need some help to solve the puzzle, let me know. I’m right here,” said the Andorian, who had a smile that looked slightly mischievous.

Zolthan
T’Pen would stare deeply into the eyes of the Andorian, letting him know how thoroughly annoyed she was. This was uncharacteristic for a Vulcan.
“Alright, I’m going to wait here until we have the last galley member. How is forensics doing in the galley?”
Ensign, T’Pen, Unamused.
