Amongst the many shops and entertainment venues on outpost 42, sat a unit that looked like all the others the only difference being two small stain glass windows, depicting a woman in full armour her fingers arched and a banner depicting a rose like flower with a sword behind it. To those who where curious to see what this building was, when they explored they may be surprised. For this unit housed the temple of the order of scared Rose. To find any sort of religion was rare but to find one one a federation outpost was something entirely different. This was the home of the order of the sacred rose the newest order of the shi-an foundation and its purpose was simply. To help all that needed it. Entering the unit would reveal a large room with vaulted ceiling and benches heading in to the room, facing a podium in front of a large alter and a stain glass window of the same woman on the window at the front, this time her shield was raised in defence.
This was the main room of the temple where one could got to get way form it all or to seek advice. Priestesses dressed in white robes moved about the benches offering assistance and keeping a watchful eye.
To the left of the room whee three doors. The first led to a school room decked with chairs, books and work terminals. The next room was the atrium a place filled with plants and the sound of running water, provide by a small channel of water running along it floor. A priestess tended the garden as guest enjoys the scenery. Off this room where two smaller ones, places for people to get help and talk in private.
The last door lead to a dining area and kitchen. The kitchen had a window facing out to busy businesses of the outpost and hot soup could be seen being cooked.
The right side of the temple looked similar except these doors lead to the cambers, dinning room and facilities for the sister of the order of the sacred rose.
Finally if one looked behind the alter which housed a beautifully ornate sword and sheath protected by glass and the unmistakable light blue glow of a force field. They would see one final door. This door lead to the chambers and office of High priestess Zhi-anne ;leader of the order and the counsellor for outpost 42. She however was not there, for now she was speaking to young men.
“I know traditional church marriages are a thing of the past. But we like the idea of it. It makes it fell special” one of the young men said as he looked to his fiance then a Zhi-anne
Zhi-anne smiled “We can sort that out for you. We would be honoured to join you two together as one” she said kindly
“Really, how much would it cost.? The ferengi said it could cost a lot” The other man said concern in his voice.
Zhi-anne shook her head “It would cost nothing. We do not seek profit” she said reassuringly
“Wait so you’ll let us use your temple, marry us and let us use the dinning area over there, if we want to. for nothing” he asked shocked at what seemed like too good an offer
“Of course. Katooni’s teaching tell us to rejoice in love.” Zhi-anne said a smile on her face. She then began to hash out the details there was no rush but getting a good foundation down early was key to many things.

Entering the atrium, Molly scanned the room nervously. The Temple’s atrium was breathtaking. For a room in a space station, the greenery and water made one feel like they were somewhere else which is exactly where she wanted to be. Kneeling down, she let her fingers dip into the cool water running through the room simulating a stream or creek. Closing her eyes, Molly remembered so many other times when the feel of water made her happy. Right now all it did was make her want to run away again.

The sound of soft foot steps could be heard behind molly if she looked up she would see the face of Zhi-anne most of her head covered by her hood. She wore the white robes of a high priestess and her voice was calm and reassuring.
Molly jumped up quickly looking at the door as if measuring the distance and if she could sprint to it unobstructed.
“Hope Harmony and health.” she said bowing her head slightly “Water is a wonderous element isn’t it. It can be so gentle and caring one minute and so vicious and destructive the next. But it is always free. perhaps that is why is many people enjoy it.” she said kindly kneeling down beside Molly.
Molly’s anxiety radiated off her like a heat lamp. One did not have to be psychic, just observant to know what the seventeen-year-old girl was feeling. “Water destroyed my life,” she said in a somber tone.
“I am sorry to here that” Zhi-anne said sincerely and soothingly
“is there anything we can do for you today?” she asked her tone still kind and reassuring
High Priestess Zhi-anne (CNS)
“Don’t tell anyone you saw me here? You are the new counselor on the outpost right?” Part of Molly felt guilty like she was betraying those she held most dear even standing in this space. The other part of her didn’t care. What had her church done for her? No matter how much she looked to the priests and nuns, they could only give her empty words and lectures on keeping her faith. If it had done any good, Molly would not be standing here now.
Zhi-anne nodded “If that is what you wish then I shall make sure no one finds out you where here, until you want me to say.” she said kindly ” And yes I am. I have only arrived recently arrived, and I am still getting used to the station.” she added in her usual tone.
“Good because I am not sure I am allowed to be here,” Molly said in a low tone.
“So what is this place?”

Zhi-anne thought for a few moments “It is what ever you wish it to be. A sanctuary, a place to avoid the world or to expand yours. Or it can be place to find help and for some it s place to start a fresh and answer a new calling” she said truthfully, her temple was for anyone to use how they saw fit, as long as it was legal and didn’t harm anyone.
“What do you wish it to be?” she asked taking a seat on a near by bench and gestured for Molly to do the same.
High Priestess Zhi-anne (CNS)
“Anywhere but this point in time,” Molly stuffed her hands in her pockets and looked around. “I came here for a fresh start and it was for a while. Now not so much. It sucks being trapped and having no way out. Did you come here by choice or were you running away from something?” Molly thought about the reasons her family had come here. It was a little of both and probably was for most people. The idea of a floating outpost in the middle of space near the Romulan border sounded exciting, daring. In truth, it was just a metal platform floating in blackness. It could be around any planet or moon. At times, Molly wished it was around a more populous place than Gamma Tiltium.

Zhi-anne shook her head “I was saved by the foundation when I was a child, after my parents where killed. I have served it ever since. As a reward for my loyalty and service they made me a high priestess and let me open my own temple. The outpost seemed like a good place to test and see of a temples could do well on star fleet facilities.” she said simply.
“So you are not Starfleet. You just work for them,” Molly asked.
“When you’re lost in the darkness, look for the light” she added after a short pause “No matter how trapped you feel there is always a way out. Even if you don’t see it at the moment it usual presents itself, in time.” she said softly.
“You sound like my Uncle only less sing-songy and poetic. He is much more point-blank.” Looking around, Molly shoved her hands in her pockets.
“What has made you feel this way?” she asked fully expecting Moly to not answer, but sometimes being direct was the best way to get someone to tell you there problems.
High Priestess Zhi-anne (CNS)
“Just life,” Molly shrugged. “So did you have to go to school to open this temple or are you like a Betazoid and can read feelings.”

Zhi-anne thought for a few moments she had an idea where this might be going but she didn’t want to let her assumptions get in the way of things. She had learned a long time ago to not let ones hopes or assumption cloud ones judgment and ability to understand a situation.
“I’m not empathic. Being raised by the foundation and then taking my vows i learnt a wide variety of subjects, so i could better help those in need. Every member of the foundation and indeed my order are trained in the basic of engineering, medicine, diplomacy and psychology. As we grow older and serve longer we get to specialise in one area, some chose theology, some medicine some like me chose psychology. Then once I was asked to run an order I was taught wat running an order was like and how to manage it effectively.” She said leaning down and smelling one of the flowers.
“Sister Chuchi, chose botany” Zhi-anne said indicating to a young Andorian girl in a white robe talking to another Andorian, on the other side of the room “Not many chose botany but her expertise is the only reason this garden is here. ” before the foundation found her she was lost, going from bar to bar. Trying to drown her grief at the loss of her family in alcohol. She was on a dark path, the foundation showed her Katooni’s light and now she is far happier. The scars remain, they always will but now she can deal with them much better.” She added.

The young girl did not seem much older than she did. The place was beautiful and it was easy to see the young woman had talent. “They only botanists I know are kids in my high school classes. Botanists are code words for weed growers and dealers,” Molly let out a chuckle. “Any chance she is growing something under the radar because you all seem rather content and relaxed here. Molly didn’t have any malice or condemnation in her tone. It actually was a teenager’s attempt at humor however it was unclear if the Priestess would find it funny. The more the two talked, the more Molly seemed less jumpy and anxious. There was a calming presence to Zhi-anne that Molly could easily feel.

Zhi-anne chuckled lightly “unfortunately not. We do grow medicinal herbs but none of them have the same effect” she said with a wink. She was well aware of what a lot of kids had been growing, she had, had to convince a few to stop and think about what they where doing, in her time. While she knew of the benefits of such plants. However she also knew the dangers and what damage they could do n the long run.
“We may seem clam and laid back, but like all people each of us has our moments. We find peace in the knowledge we have been taught and with our vows, there isn’t a whole lot to tempt us to cruel or hostile action. But people our people and we all struggle at some point or another, but when we do we know we have our sisters to help us.” she said simply. Zhi-anne had always seen herself as lucky having such a strong group of people to relay on when she needed them. She never felt alone and even when she was on her own, she knew Katooni was watching and that all she had to do was listen t the wind, to find a bit of peace.

“Things are a mess at home,” Molly admitted. “It was getting better for a while but life took a sideways turn.” She moved to a bench and sat down listening to the water and ambient sounds. “I don’t like the way pot makes me feel. I actually only ride the high for a short time before I fall asleep,” she let out a laugh. “I really don’t see what the hype of it is all about. My boyfriend likes it. The problem is I have to shower and bring an extra set of clothes because my uncle would flip the freak out if he knew and the man has a nose like a blood hound. Want to know something funny?”
“The last three times he grounded me for coming home past curfew it was because I took too long in the shower after hanging out at a party which is why I was late. I think I could be the only teenager on the Outpost for being grounded for getting clean.”
