Outpost Med - First Impressions (open to all medical check-ins or visitors)

OOC: As there is going to be a group thread for everyone to meet the CO and ‘check in’, I’m going to place this after that meeting. Anyone can visit or check-in, I have a couple of Characters in medical here and Kate also plays a nurse if we get busy.

IC: The very next morning, Do’trahk arrived at the Outposts medical facility early before shift change. This was for a number of reasons. He was an early riser, had a coffee addiction, liked to exercise early and used the time to find his way to the medical facility from his quarters and see what was around him on the way there.

Mainly though, it was so that he could clear out whoever was in his office and start setting it up, ready for the day ahead before Alpha shift arrived. Greeting the night staff and making sure they continued with their duties, the big Klingon made his way into the Office and dropped the pair of large boxes he was carrying in one corner, then took a deep breath and sniff, screwing up his face. It was clean, that was good, but it smelled like Human.

First, he worked to clear the first box he brought with him. This held a number of items that he began to hang on the walls of his office. Daggers and knives of many styles and cultures, cubs, maces and hand axes. One item in the box was a sheathed Bat’leth that he proudly hung behind his desk so it was in full view of anyone walking in. Simple construction and carved wood handles with leather grips, the blade was blued with heat and was mirror like in it’s cleanliness. By the end, the assortment of hand to hand combat weapons made the Office look decidedly less inviting than it normally would. Do’trahk smiled.

Moving the now empty box to the desk, he sniffed again and promptly swiped everything on it which of course belonged to the prior Acting CMO, into the box, then shunted that box into the corner out of the way with his foot. The second box of goods held personal items for his desk. Bloodwine that went into the drawers, a small model of a Klingon Bird-of-Prey that sat on one corner of his desk and other sundries. Making sure everything was as he wanted it, he moved to walk out but paused at the door and turned. The chair would have to go. It was sleek and smooth, on wheels and clearly highly comfortable. Do’trahk made a mental note to go shopping for a chunky wooden beast of a chair that would scrape the floor every time he pushed it back, next time he visited the promenade.
