The woman nodded. “I am unsure if this would react well to the process of beaming, but if in your scientific opinion it is worth the risk, the sooner we deal with this situation the better.”

Toveka friend and looked at Tenkiller as she spoke. “I don’t know how it would react, either. Perhaps in the case it would be protected?” She wasn’t sure if it was worth the risk of the XO. But if they could time the transfer to when the XO departed… maybe it could work.

As she waited for the go ahead to use the transporter, she knelt down and began to pack the artifact into the case in her hand. The idea want the greatest, and she knew it. But something had to be done. These aliens needed to get off the ship. And the XO has to remain safe.

Tenkiller just gave her a nod, giving her his approval of the plan. It was a risk, but the sooner they dealt with this the better.

Once everything was packed and secured, she stepped back several feet. “Ready to transport,” she sighed. This better work. The idea of it going sideways, harming the XO, or anyone else for that matter, worried her. Times like this, she hated having an analytical mind. In the space of two heartbeats she had already thought of a half dozen ways this could go terribly wrong.

There was the feeling of all of her particles disassembling and then reassembling themselves back together, and she found herself on board the ship, safe from any sort of enemy.

((Little lost, sorry… Thought only the package (carry case) was being transported to the shuttle. Then the XO would be taking it away from the OP to draw the bad guys away… Lol… What’d I miss, or miss interpret? Or is this a twist to run with? Lol))

OOC: Its a twist, you’ll see what it means in a bit, but I can add more detail ;)

Looking around Toveka was struck with the fact that no-one was on the ship, no-one except for the Victorian dressed woman. “Oh look, you got pulled along. I was wondering if the shard was going to pull something else along with it.”

By now Jessica and her team had made it to the hangar with the decoy. Looking around she needed a pilot. “You,” she snapped her fingers at a man in a flight suit sitting at a console. “I need you to get me a pilot yesterday and one of these birds in the air,” she said slightly out of breath. She had run here the entire time knowing that she needed to complete the ruse of having the false Shard in her bag off the ship. She had no idea how the other team was doing or if the enemy was even following her.

A brunette female aviatrix walked around the corner as the XO finished her request of the Wing Chief. The tall woman wore a flight suit with gold oaks leaves of a Major on her shoulders and smiled as she replied. “I fly… I’m pilot” The sarcastic tone was strong with this one. “How can the Wing be of service, Commander?”

Major Nicole “Siren” Harper, Wing Ops

The technician looked out at the hanger, where all but one of the ships have been transformed into various flying vehicles from different periods in Earth’s history, one even being an old biplane. “I suggest you take the only one left Ma’am.”

“Are any of them even space worthy,” Jessica looked at the technician like they were insane. “The one on the flipping left was last flown by the Red Baron. I mean do you even have a clue as to who that man is?”

“Besides it has an open cockpit…it’s space.”

“Ma’am,” a crewman walked up looking confident and almost eager. “I have been working on a project.” Pulling out a small black box, forward. “It’s a force bubble for lack of a better word. It can contract and expand....like enough around that plane.” He pointed to the biplane as if Jessica needed the visual. “It will work and will give you a breathable atmosphere for about an hour.”

Jessica was applauded ingenuity. Hell, she promoted people for it but this was insane. “That is all fine and dandy but the last man to fly that thing died three hundred years ago.”

The woman looked confused and chuckled. “I could probably fly it…” She laughed. “… but only in a skin suit!”

Siren

Toveka almost jumped when she heard the woman. Turning around, she frowned slightly. “The transporter was only supposed to bring the case. Are you saying you wanted something more than the case to arrive? Why? It’s supposed to be bait for the raiders. This was supposed to beam in,” she indicated the case, “and those inside beamed out so the raiders would think there were people and these troublesome artifacts here.”

Her voice rose and fell in frustration. Looking around, she wondered where the XO was. Wasn’t that the plan? First Tenkiller was called away, now this! Had the plan changed and she missed it? Unsure whether to be angry or worried, she glanced at the woman a moment. She had two seconds to explain herself. Then Toveka was going to reprogram the transporter and get herself out of there… whatever there was.

“It’s quite simple really, the shard is radiating my energy, which probably expanded around you and made you seem like part of the fragment.” The woman shrugged. “But I’m a scientist, so what do I know?” She gestured to the elevator. “Would you like to join me on the way to engineering? We can have a nice chat while we go to dispose of that… thing.”

((ooc… a little lost… thought we transported to the shuttle, because the plan was to put the shards there, same time XO was beamed out (hoping the XO had been followed by bad guys) then blow up the shuttle once the enemies were close and we were all clear???… So where exactly is Toveka if she’s being asked to go to engineering now to dispose of the shards.... help please.... lol))
