“Of course,” Ria replied and lifted the flowery teapot and started pouring the tea gracefully into Achilleas’s teacup. “Hopefully your leg will start working properly again and nothing is actually wrong,” she said, turning a lot more serious than before; her expression clearly concerned. “If it doesn’t get better, we should call someone,” she added and then pushed the plate of sandwiches towards him, deciding that food might be beneficial.

“Of course, of course!” Achilleas laughed, “Only a minor inconvenience. Can’t even feel a thing anyway.” He took a sip of tea before reaching for a sandwich. He took a bite before exclaiming, “These sandwiches are just delectable, but not nearly as tasty as you my dear!”

Petrakos, the March Hare

Solal headed past the science lab, on the way to the infirmary to work. However, he stopped as out of the corner of his eye he saw something… odd. Two people, who he’d yet to meet, acting… well, rather strangely. So he stood in the doorway, watching for several moments, trying to decide what exactly was going on. Finally, he decided to pipe up and ask. “What are you doing?”

NE Obvious stood by the door his arms folded in abject horror at was was happening before he whipped his head over the Segal, “Its… whatever this is. It has taken over most of the station it seems. Right now I am torn between taking notes and trying to interfere. Either way Petrakos is gonna kick himself when he sobers up.”

Another giggle bubbled up from Ria’s chest and her cheeks turned scarlet once more. While Achilleas had seen this side of her in a way when they were alone together, all the other scientists were probably rather surprised to see that the usually meek, shy and mousy scientist could even behave the way she did right now. Sure, she - and who knew how many others - seemed to be high on … something, so the change in behaviour probably wasn’t as surprising as it might have been at any other time. “I’m glad you enjoyed it,” she said somewhat vaguely as she grinned at Achilleas. It was then that she saw the newcomer and jumped to her feet. He wasn’t wearing a hat and neither was NE Obvious and neither of them had tea. That could not be! She hastily filled two tea cups and grabbed to of the spare hats. One was a large, extravagant Lady’s sunhat and the other was a fez. With the hats in one hand and the cups somewhat precariously in the other, she hurried over to them and said, “You must have tea and everyone has to wear a hat!” That said she shoved on cup at each of them, probably spilling some in the process. She then tried to force the fez on NE Obvious’s head and the sunhat on Solal’s.

Achilleas grinned back in response to Ria’s vague statement. While under normal circumstances he would most likely be blushing due to the public nature of their actions, the influence of whatever was causing everyone to be crazy was steeply lowering his modesty. At the arrival of the new party-goer, he intended to get up before remembering that his leg wasn’t working right. Instead he clapped in support of Ria’s actions before he pointed sternly at NE Obvious, “You wear the hat or face disciplinary action!”
