With her medical evaluation done, that left one more evaluation before she was cleared for duty and could report with her Department Head. So even though she really didn’t want to talk to the ship’s counsellor - or psychiatrist as they were called on the Ogawa - she headed in that direction. Though definitely not as quickly aas she could have as she took her time. Of course she knew that there was nothing she could do about this evaluation and that the sooner she was there the sooner it would be over. Yet part of her hoped that something might come up and she could postpone this conversation. Not that that was likely considering that they were docked at the Starbase and in need of repairs. But there was a little hope anyway.

But eventually she did arrive at her destination and after taking several deep breaths and trying to steady her nerves, the Bajoran science officer pressed the chime next to the door and waited to be called inside.

bump :)

A slightly irritated but feminine voice came from within: “enter.” When the door slid open to confirm the entrance, she would note that the office of the Chief of Psychiatry was completely unremarkable. In fact, it was remarkable in how unremarkable it was. Only two personal effects accentuated the space: a framed copy of Ana’s medical school diploma behind her desk and the colorful jar of lollipops on her desk. The rest was as standard Starfleet issue as it could be, offering a perfunctory seating area as well as two chairs in front of the psychiatrist’s desk. Behind the desk, a slender woman with straight black hair sat, studying the contents of a PaDD, which she set aside as the door slid open. There was care in her motion to put it in the seemingly correct spot on her desk and then her deep black eyes rested on Iyun in silence.

I hope I didn’t upset them, Iyun thought as she entred the office. Smiling shyly and nervously, she said uncertainly, “I’m Ensign Iyun Riani. I am … I’m here for my psychological evaluation … but if now isn’t a good time, I can come back later…” She let her voice trail off, looking probably as uncomfortable as one could imagine. She wasn’t directly looking at Darren and at some point during her awkward introduction she’d subconsciously reached behind her back and had started fiddling with the end of her long braid. And while she was hoping to get this evaluation out of the way, she also wouldn’t be opposed to being send away for now.
