Poosh merely nodded at the bizarre dentist. After Dr. Black had left Poosh looked around at the others. “I hope I wasn’t rude. I didn’t know there were any exo-skeletal humanoids in the Federation. I was caught off guard.”

Willow shook her head with a kind of rueful smile. “Don’t worry about it…im not sure he would have noticed anyway. When i say he was here when we got here i literally mean it. The current Ogawa was a refurb of the old mccoy with some adjustments. He was on the old ship back when i was years before…when the ship was decomissioned his record stops and noone heard from him. When we were recomissioned he just turned up in the dental suite covered in cobeebs and dust and scared the beegeesus out of some poor Yeoman who was coming to clean and restock.”

Ana’s head tilted to the side enough at Taylor’s words for her black hair to swish noticeably. Her experience with humans had failed her and she wasn’t entirely sure if the CO was being factitious or not and precisely what sort of reaction she should have if the answer was “not.”

Willow glanced at Ana and raised both eyebrows earnestly, “I’m not kidding.” She said meaningfully.
