M’Nalie grinned as she took the chip, it was a very toothy grin and it had sent more then a few cadets at the academy into a near panic. “Permission to not return to my quarters sir?”, she asked flicking an ear. “It will be interesting to see how my clans training compares to this exercise.”, she rumbled. She had of course been training for a war her entire life. That her clan had actually been at war with most of Cait for over a thousand years meant everyone was trained starting from when they could walk. The war had of course not been actively on since the truce a decade after it started. But a truce did not mean peace anud her people took readiness seriously. She had been surprised to discover that nobody knew about the war off Cait and That even most Caitans assumed it was past history and not ongoing. But then neither side really wanted a actual fight so likely it was easy enough to forget about.

“Permission granted. And some advice. Use that anytime you need it. It’s going to take time for people to understand you and your culture. In the meantime, you have an outlet for your aggression. Dismissed.”

If Mark was honest, he didn’t like psychiatrists much more than M’Nalie. Nonetheless, he was ringing the door chime to Dr Darren’s office on M’Nalie’s behalf. He was a tough chief. But he looked out for his crew as much as he worked them.

“Enter!” came a surprisingly soft voice from within the office. The door slid open to punctuate the invitation, revealing the business-like setting. Ana looked up and quickly placed the face as the Chief Engineer, although she hadn’t been the one to complete his last evaluation. “Hello, Lieutenant,” she greeted him, looking curiously at him as to why he was stopping by her office.
