The computer replied dutifully, “The USS Ogawa NCC Dash 64284 Dash A is a McCoy-Class vessel. Crew complement is 40.” (OOC: No, that’s not a typo, but true to spec.)

“I think you might want to have your head examined, young lady. As you heard, this from this ships computer, there are only 40 crew personnel on board.” Jarvis then thought for a moment, “on second thoughts, you should perhaps make that a priority. It would certainly explain your clumsiness.”

The intern flushed deeply. “I… I…”

Ignoring the back and forth between the chief of staff and chief of surgery, Dr Jarvis finished with the vascular regenerator and held it out for the nurse to take. “I was unaware that we had a Dr Holt on board, however, it is possible that I have not encountered him yet. Regardless, Nurse, I am the one performing this surgery,” he emphasised, alluding to the nonsense going on between the senior officers. If this was going to be the reaction every time he tried to save someone’s life, he would not be surprised to find himself in the brig sooner or later. “Nurse, hand me the anabolic protoplaser. We can now begin repairing the damage to the organ itself.”

OOC: She’s not a nurse, but a surgical intern (as far as you know). I just assumed that when I brought her in that the nurse Jarvis was referring to was an NE of yours. Just to make sure things are clear.
IC:
The intern leaned over slightly and peered at the spleen as it was being repaired. “That’s a nice line of repair, Doctor,” she said, smiling behind her mask.

~Mischief Maker

OOC: sorry, linds, my bad.

IC:
“It was nothing difficult, my dear. However, it is nice to know that someone appreciates my work around here.” He held out the Anabolic Protoplaser for her to take. “The organ tissue seems to have regenerated sufficiently and the blood vessels repaired. Now, hand me the Celular Microsuture so I can finish the internal repair, then we can close.”

Dr J. Jarvis M.D

The intern took the one instrument and handed Jarvis the next one.

~Mischief Maker

Dr Jarvis took the instrument and finished the internal repairs. Once he was done he held it back out to the nurse. “Autosuture,” he said firmly. It was time to seal up this patient and claim a personal victory over Dr ‘repair the dislocated shoulder first’ Marshall.

“What’s her prognosis?” the intern said curiously.

“She should hopefully make a full recovery,” Dr Jarvis replied as he finished sealing his incision. He then turned to the NE nurse, “make sure she is stable and take her to recovery. Update me imediatly if there are any problems.” Just to be on the safe side, he gave the patient a quick scan with a tricorder.

Pilar came over “What can I do to help Doctor?”

Head Nurse

OOC: Tyra, you’re already in the Primary Sickbay thread. There are three Sickbay threads currently, so I know it will get confusing, but people can only be in one place at a time for this sim for sure. Thanks! ~Linds

=^= All hands, this is the Captain. Due to an unforeseen course correction we have found ourselves in a spacial anomaly that we are seeking to rectify. We also seem to have somehow picked up some extra passengers. If you encounter anyone you do not know please notify the bridge immediately. All Duty Personnel report to your stations, civilians report to sickbay. Section and Department heads take stock of your staff and report to the bridge.=^=

Dr Jarvis listened to the Captain’s announcement and glanced at the surgical intern. Perhaps not a head injury after all. However, he waited until he was well out of the woman’s earshot before contacting the bridge. =^=Bridge, this is Dr Jarvis in secondary sickbay. I’ve just finished operating on Commander Brokes’ daughter. She should make a full recovery. However, I may have come across one of your extra passengers in the form of a surgical intern. =^=

A soft pain escaped the young girl’s lips as she began to stir. “Mmm… what, what happened?” She opened her eyelids, her not quite focusing on the room around her.” Mom?” she asked, panic quickly growing in her voice. “Mom, are you there ? Mom? Mommy?!”

-Sadee

Brad muttered a curse under his breath.

=/\=Tell whoever it is to report to Primary Sickbay. Make up whatever excuse you want, just make it believable and not suspicious=/\= Brad replied. God, why did it have to be Jarvis?

Lt. Cmdr. Dr. Brad Walker
Chief of Staff

Well, he had his orders. It was a shame that the Commander had not told him when to send her to primary sickbay. For he couldn’t well pass up the opportunity to poke around inside this strangers head… amongst other things should the opportunity present itself. =/\=Understood, Commander.=/\=

Tricorder in hand, Jarvis walked back into the surgical suite. Approaching the young intern from behind, he gave her a quick scan. While she looked human, the tricorder would reveal all.

Dr J . Jarvis M.D

The intern moved over to Sadee and rested a hand on hers. “It’s okay,” she said reassuringly. “You’re okay. You’ve had an accident and were injured, but everything is fine,” she said in her most soothing voice.

The young woman caught Jarvis scanning he and frowned, but didn’t want to alarm the patient, so said nothing for the moment. The tricorder showed that rather than a corporeal being, the intern was essentially a bio-electric signature that included tachyons and photons.

~Mischief Maker

James McKnight entered the room. “Dr Jarvis, if you’re done here, turf her to the sickbay floor. We’re kinda swamped today and I need the room.” He walked over by Jarvis’ side. “What’re you even-“ then he saw it. He didn’t recognise this intern. He knew both surgical interns on the ship, she was neither. Walking around to be in front of her, McKnight smiled and said “Hey. I’m Dr McKnight, I don’t think we’ve ever crossed paths before. We got a call a few minutes ago that we’re a little short staffed in primary sickbay upstairs. Why don’t you head up there? You might find more familiar faces from your duty rotation.”

-Dr James McKnight

The doctor looked about uncertainly. “But… oh, okay,” she said, suddenly looking crestfallen. “Umm, I’m still getting a bit lost. You know, intern an all. Can you give me directions?”

~Mischief Maker

James nodded. “Sure. Walk with me.” He headed for the exit. Once they could see secondary sickbay he directed her to the nearest turbolift. “Take that up to deck one. It’s going to look like you’re on the bridge, don’t worry, right behind that- the aft section is primary sickbay. If you see anyone you recognise along the way, and they don’t seem busy, tell them the Captain requested more hands in primary sickbay on deck one.”

-Dr James McKnight

Dr Jarvis’ beady eyes light up when he saw the tricorder readings. A non-corporial being made up of bio-electrical signals. It seemed like his patience in waiting for something interesting to show up had finally paid off. However, having been so absorbed in the readings, he had been completely oblivious to the conversation that had just taken place between the intern and Dr McKnight. He looked up from the tricorder and to his dismay, saw that McKnight had escorted the intern out of the surgical suite and was pointing towards a turbolift. Blast, he cursed internally. The man was trying to send her of to primary sickbay. There went the interesting scans, well not if he had anything to say about it.
” My patient is now in recovery. Call me if her condition changes. i will go and ensure that the young lady finds her way to primary.” he told McKnight and following, the intern he headed for the turbolift. ” allow me to escort you.” he said, labcoat billowing behind him as he walked.
